 You mean like how you are projecting your opinions about Obama onto me? Good job trying to deflect the question konfab asked about Trump and civil liberties ;) and good job managing to again deflect any criticisms of Trump

I don't give two hoots about Trump. Your hypocrisy is really very amusing.

Oh, and your one example of trampling on civil liberties REALLY made your case. It's like all those women who keep shrilling that they are not equal to men and their rights are being trampled on, etc etc.

Do you not consider seizure of assets without any conviction against normal civil liberties? Coz your Emperor sure seems to be for civil asset forfeiture.
I do. And it is an absolute disgrace on the US legal system for allowing it. Though thankfully there is light at the end of the tunnel on that $hitstain.

But on one hand you talk about the seizure of assets being a bad thing, but on the other, progressives love things like redistribution of wealth. Which is no different. The crime in the case of wealth taxation is having the audacity to have money.

Partly true. The Dems cannot offer up any decent candidates. If they had a JFK reincarnate they could wipe the floor with Trump, but they can't seem to find a candidate that has universal appeal, with the charisma to draw in a unified response.

However, where my opinion digresses from yours is they had to rely on Trump's narcissism and the incompetence that is driven by his narcissistic opinions that caused the bungled response to the Pandemic, that has resulted in the USA playing catch up.

If Trump had taken the HHS Secretary seriously, or listened to the CIA or the CDC and acted early with sound leadership, the Dems would not have a chance in hell of beating Trump.

After the impeachment fell through, Trump opened the door for the Dems. His naivety on many affairs kept it wide open for them.

The anarchist in me really wants Biden to win. I would love to watch everyone here keep trying to defend him.

I see the NYT is already running interference for him.

Lmao. Not at all.

And secondly, nice of you to whataboutism even this. Tell me, did you not know about those two examples at all, or did you just have a nice convenient loss of memory when you asked me about them? I do notice that even here while you're happy to (rightfully crap on the legal system) you won't say anything bad about Daddy being in support of it :D

Your one example has really driven your point home.

So civil asset forfeiture as the same as suspending due process of gun owners? That's the only way I can figure out both examples being somehow being counted as 'my one example'

Let me guess, you took counting lessons from Trump? :X3:

What's laughable is Randhir's ability to construct a compelling argument.

Oh, I think Randhir had your number... Yesterday.

The bigger issue is that the right (including those on MyBB), keep trying to equate media and national leadership responsibilities.

For all the glaring issues with the response that this administration has so shoddily trotted out, the response keeps seeming to point to media and those who aren't in power as if they are to blame for the woefully inept - frankly criminal - action taken by Trump's government.

You... Today.

It's really pathetic.

Just like the media's loaded questions that are achieving **** all, except to lower their own credibility.

So now we are talking about approval ratings and not the timeline? So, just like the media, you are grandstanding.

It's funny how you and all the Trump crazed haters want to hold Trump accountable, but the organisations who give the administration info (aka the CDC) to devise a response was saying late into FEBRUARY that the risk to Americans was LOW. Or do you expect the administration to somehow know more than the subject matter experts?

Just look at this.

This is the problem with MSM. Opinion and fact are not clear any longer, and due to this, reporting is a pile of flaming **** these days.

Unbelievable how MSM is pushing Chinese propaganda uncritically.

No, it's your inability to read. That's how two examples suddenly become one.

Now you are concerned about gun owner's rights?

Tell me. For mentally unstable people, you would prefer to see that their due process rights are upheld before their guns are taken away?

You really, really are stretching now. And this is why you probably did not include a link in your initial post around this.

How does expecting balanced reporting "trying to equate media and national leadership responsibilities"?

How is pointing out media hypocrisy "trying to equate media and national leadership responsibilities"?

Now? No.

This is going to blow your mind, because Trumpets only toe the party line, but as a gun owner, I am very much for gun owner's rights. That's why Cele needs to **** off.

Tell me. For mentally unstable people, you would prefer to see that their due process rights are upheld before their guns are taken away?

And there it is. Conservatives, for all their bleating about due process and civil liberties, don't really care about them, do they?

Stretching as much as stretching to equate one and two? I posted the full exchange.

Just so we're clear about this, you're advocating for removal of firearms before due process is carried out? Is this right?

Here is a thought. Civil liberties are not absolute. Are you really this simple minded?

Trump's power though, now that's absolute

When somebody's the President of the United States, the authority is total, and that's the way it's got to be
The authority of the President of the United States having to do with the subject we're talking about is total. They (state governments) can't do anything without the approval of the President of the United States.
