US Election 2020

You just answered your own question. Trump ran as a Republican because that's how he could win. Bernie is running as a Democrat because that's also how he can win. It's simple. Trump was no more a Republican than Bernie is a Democrat.

Fair enough.
The Republicans pit up plenty of resistance to Trump. Even my favorite politician Lyndsay didn't like him.

Do you think the dems will accept him?
I dont see Nancy and the other mean girls Shiff. Nader. Schumer etc embracin

Secret Service has paid rates as high as $650 a night for rooms at Trump’s properties

President Trump’s company charges the Secret Service for the rooms agents use while protecting him at his luxury properties — billing U.S. taxpayers at rates as high as $650 per night, according to federal records and people who have seen receipts.

Those charges, compiled here for the first time, show that Trump has an unprecedented — and largely hidden — business relationship with his own government. When Trump visits his clubs in Palm Beach, Fla., and Bedminster, N.J., the service needs space to post guards and store equipment.

Trump’s company says it charges only minimal fees. But Secret Service records do not show that.
At Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club, the Secret Service was charged the $650 rate dozens of times in 2017, and a different rate, $396.15, dozens more times in 2018, according to documents from Trump’s visits.

And at the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster, the Secret Service was charged $17,000 a month to use a three-bedroom cottage on the property, an unusually high rent for homes in that area, according to receipts from 2017. Trump’s company billed the government even for days when Trump wasn’t there.

Is that a secret service issue, or a Trump issue?

I love how you just simply make this out to be a fact. I, and very many others, would disagree that interest is necessarily bad for society. Loan shark levels I would strongly contend are unethical (and bad for society), but interest within reasonable levels (inflation + 10%) is good motivation for individuals to make their funds available for others to use. Perhaps I should put a disclaimer that I'm not a communist though.
Notice that I am specific in saying "compound interest". The evil of this has been known for thousands of years and it is not difficult to grasp.

so if it isn't racist Bloomberg, pedo corrupt Biden, retarded AOC, delirious Pelosi it is yet another racist:

the left are so fahked in this election it is almost sad
Platitude Pete. A favourite among Boomers and billionaires.

Yang & Bennet are out.

I really hope he goes for another office, though. Not a bad presence in the Democratic Party.

I liked him being there, too.
I'm sure we haven't heard the last of him.

Sanders predicted to win New Hampshire but it was much closer than anticipated with a late Mayor Pete surge. Klouchbar surge as well. Appalling results for Warren and Biden.

Good read:

Here’s What I Do Like About Bernie Sanders

As an exercise in maintaining perspective, I’m devoting a column to the virtues of Bernie Sanders.

Sanders is motivated by an ideological vision that is fundamentally humane. For all his attacks on the “millionaires and billionaires,” the only true visceral rage he shows is at poverty in the midst of one of the world’s wealthiest societies. His anger at the inaccessibility of health care, housing, and basic needs for all Americans is the through line of his career, through all of its idiosyncratic turns.

Finally, and most importantly, Sanders is not an authoritarian. Far from it: He is a passionate small-d democrat. This fact has been distorted by conservatives, who believe that Sanders’s socialist economics along with his noninterventionist foreign policy — which has in the past brought him uncomfortably close to communist governments overseas — add up to some form of left-wing revolutionary program

When some leftists tried to shut down a campus speech by the risible Ann Coulter last year, Sanders vocally denounced their campaign. Here he is, sounding like John Stuart Mill:

“To me, it’s a sign of intellectual weakness. If you can’t ask Ann Coulter in a polite way questions which expose the weakness of her arguments, if all you can do is boo, or shut her down, or prevent her from coming, what does that tell the world?

“What are you afraid of ― her ideas? Ask her the hard questions,” he concluded. “Confront her intellectually. Booing people down, or intimidating people, or shutting down events, I don’t think that that works in any way.”

Yang or Bennet?
