Difference is that he wants to bring back a movie from his past to replace a culturallt different one. That's a stage we all go through - at about age 6.

Replace? That's all in your head. Nobody can replace a movie that already our.

But Hollywood is doing plenty of remakes, maybe go and tell them they are behaving like children for bringing back old movies.

I really, really dislike the Hollywood remakes as well- they're acting not so much like children as like people who've run out of original ideas.

It seems like the vote is about 50% progressive (Sanders and Warren) with 50% moderate (Pete and everyone else so far)

It depends on how much Bloomberg is going to split the moderate vote even further.

Sanders seem to have a cult following so his support will remain consistent at the level we've seen so far.

I don't think he wants to bring back GWtW. He's using it as an example of a 'great American movie' - a classical, nationalistic mythologization of an American past that never really existed, complete with troubling racial themes. What he's saying is, artists should stop with all this modernistic multicultural nonsense and get back to glorifying America's image of itself and whitewashing the unpleasant aspects of its past.

It's exactly the same thing all other fascist leaders do. It's a form of state propaganda. I find it extremely disturbing.
