I think you'd have to deal with his appointees on a case by case basis. I'm sure theres a variety of different reasons for things not working out.

Trump wants you to believe that the only reason he hasn't invoked it is because there's no need, because companies are already producing medical supplies. The problem is, that is not the main purpose of the DPA. The DPA allows the government to become a single payer of whatever supplies it orders to be manufactured. In a crisis like this, having a single payer would mean supplies could get fairly triaged and distributed without the market, so that poorer areas can have the same access to critical healthcare supplies as richer ones.

The only explanation that makes sense is that Trump is being successfully lobbied by corporations to protect their ability to price gouge and profit off a health crisis. But sure let's just believe whatever **** he tweets out because who wants to hold the president accountable for anything? He's the orange god, after all.

Pegs, you wont believe the deals ive picked up on the stock market these last few weeks. My RA though i don't get too specific, i try and put as much as i can into it every year to get my taxes down and because im not touching it for another +-25 years, i dont bother to look at the performance.

Yes dont get me wrong its a balancing act, which is the way i see the Trump admin wants to go forward with it. You cant just shut a whole country down for months and expect that's the best response to the situation either.

It's not a balancing act at all. The US is in the middle of an unprecedentedly huge spike in cases. They went up by 10,000 cases in one day. The reality is they are probably already too late to prevent a catastrophic nationwide pandemic. But the only possible response needs to be lockdown. The chaos and destabilization that this outbreak will cause in the next few months if it is not contained is impossible to imagine now.
