Thanks! Cerbius hooked me up with on of your earlier posts.

How the hell do you know the US constitution so well?

It's due process. Afforded to all, citizens and non-citizens alike. Of course, as you said, the US hasn't really cared that much and will ignore it to get what they want done.

5th and 14th amendments. Two Supreme Court cases to back it up. I’m on my phone now but will track them down for you when I’m back at my desk.

Zadvydas v. Davis (2001):

"Once an alien enters the country, the legal circumstance changes, for the Due Process Clause applies to all persons within the United States, including aliens, whether their presence is lawful, unlawful, temporary, or permanent."

Trump attacks 'filthy' Red Hen restaurant for turning away Sarah Huckabee Sanders

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

The Red Hen Restaurant should focus more on cleaning its filthy canopies, doors and windows (badly needs a paint job) rather than refusing to serve a fine person like Sarah Huckabee Sanders. I always had a rule, if a restaurant is dirty on the outside, it is dirty on the inside!

What a fruitcake. Then there's the Starburst incident.

As the photo shows, their arguments were not warmly received, but Trump did eventually agree to join the other G7 nations in signing the communique. Bremmer describes what happened next: “He stood up, he put his hand in his suit jacket pocket and he took two Starburst candies out, threw them on the table, and said to Merkel, ‘Here, Angela, don’t say I never gave you anything.’”

Eisbein with client done and normal whiling the day away on internet forums services have resumed.

I specifically follow folk on Twitter who post links to the right references when other Twitter users post about things like suspending due process. In this case, Norm Eisen who was WH special counsel for ethics, and Laurence Tribe who is a Harvard Law professor. It helps if they do it on a quiet Sunday so you have time to read...

Oh, those Supreme Court cases:

Zadydas v. Davis ("due process" of the 14th Amendment applies to all aliens in the United States whose presence maybe or is "unlawful, involuntary or transitory.")
Plyler v. Doe (illegal aliens/... may claim the benefit of the Equal Protection clause which provides that no state shall 'deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.')

Now that’s interesting. Hence why the terrorists never went on US soil. So if they prevent immigrants from the us soil, then they don’t have to follow due process.

After Bush political appointees at the U.S. Office of Legal Counsel, Department of Justice advised the Bush administration that the Guantanamo Bay detention camp could be considered outside U.S. legal jurisdiction, military guards took the first twenty detainees to Camp X-Ray on 11 January 2002. The Bush administration asserted that detainees were not entitled to any of the protections of the Geneva Conventions.

This is what 'compassionate conservatism' looks like. We're seeing another side of it on the borders right now.

This from the vice captain of the 'sure bakers can refuse to bake cakes for gay couples' team. Priceless.
and which baker called for mass banning of gays from their establishments? oh yeah, none
and which religious beliefs of the restaurateurs in this case would be challenged by Sanders' presence? yip, none again

apples and oranges ...

upon illegal entry they will get instant citizenship and a pledge by Justin Trudeau to personally perform any sexual favours if and when needed?

Not true! Trudeau looks the type to insist on being a bottom, doesn't like being in control.

Let me know when Trump or Sanders launches a court challenge to force that chicken restaurant to serve her.

I'm not your secretary, knob. In any case, your post makes no sense. Who said they said?

Yea, no. Look up "the paradox of tolerance."
The irony hits just keep coming :crylaugh:

First fascism now unlimited tolerance begetting intolerance; which is precisely why Trump won in the first place, liberals lost the f-ing plot with PC-BS, time to vote in a counterweight and here we are ...

So they accept some gays just not all?

Other way around (no pun intended). One specific bakery didn't want to serve a gay couple because of religious beliefs.
vs
A deluded, yet curiously still high profile, politician calling for an entire nation to "harass" a group of people because of political differences.

So you're saying they will serve gay couples but just not that gay couple? Or are you saying words are more important than actions and just because they didn't explicitly say it, its all ok.

Out of all the things that have gone on in this thread, curious that you think this comes close to fascism.
