Yuge tantrum incoming... YUGE! I expect tre45on might be cranking the unhinged up for a while too.

Bob Woodward book coming out and The WaPo has a 'lil preview.

Also, the book is out on... September 11th.

The transcript of the call between Trump and Woodward is a phenomenal display of Trumps unrelenting narcissism and dishonesty.

One thing is clear, Mattis is stays there out of patriotic duty. He is worried that if he goes, Trump will do something irrecoverable.

Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you the President of the United States of America -

If any of this is true surely he would have been impeached r removed already

Why do you think so?

Sorry for finding an article about Trump adding it to the relevant thread and adding my view on it.

This seems odd. Your "view" that you've added is that you actually don't care about any of it and you just like seeing "libtards" cry? How is this not trolling? Buka rebutted basically everything in that link - don't you reckon that's worth contemplating at least?

Lol. Can you imagine being this deluded?

Yes. :)

After Trump left the meeting, Woodward recounts, “Mattis was particularly exasperated and alarmed, telling close associates that the president acted like — and had the understanding of — ‘a fifth- or sixth-grader.’ ”

...

White House Chief of Staff John F. Kelly frequently lost his temper and told colleagues that he thought the president was “unhinged,” Woodward writes. In one small group meeting, Kelly said of Trump: “He’s an idiot. It’s pointless to try to convince him of anything. He’s gone off the rails. We’re in Crazytown. I don’t even know why any of us are here. This is the worst job I’ve ever had.”

Few more additions for Dan Drezner's thread:

Apparently Ron DeSantis has to practice not being racist.

https://www.politico.com/states/flo...cash-in-florida-as-desantis-gets-quiet-591214

DeSantis had planned to face Gwen Graham, a white woman, and was unprepared to face Gillum, according to a Republican with close ties to the campaign who said DeSantis “stepped on a rake” by making both a “monkey” reference and calling Gillum “articulate.”

“Ron was ready to be called a sexist, and the campaign had war-gamed for that. He wasn’t ready for being called a racist,” said the Republican, who didn’t want to be identified because he was discussing internal campaign matters. “He just didn’t know how to talk about it.”

Before the controversy could fade, a white supremacist group on Friday called Florida Democrats with a racist robocall mocking blacks and Gillum.

James Mattis Reportedly Ignored Trump’s Order To ‘F**king Kill’ Bashar Assad

Trump told Secretary of Defense James Mattis he wanted to assassinate Syrian leader Bashar Assad last year. While Mattis agreed, he allegedly gave aides completely different instructions.

Cohn Lifted Papers Off Trump’s Desk to Stop Nafta Exit

How do you stop President Donald Trump from pulling out of a trade deal? Remove the papers for doing so off his desk, apparently.

According to a Washington Post report, a new book on the Trump presidency by legendary journalist Bob Woodward includes details of how then-economic adviser Gary Cohn stopped the president from ordering an exit from Nafta and a trade deal with South Korea.

The former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. executive resigned as head of Trump’s National Economic Council earlier this year after failing to block new tariffs on steel and aluminum. But according to Woodward, he quietly saved the South Korea-U.S. trade agreement, known as Korus, when in 2017 he removed a “letter off Trump’s desk” that the president planned to sign that would have ordered a U.S. withdrawal.

These hearings are a farce anyway. He spouts a bunch of crap that everyone in the room knows is BS, but none of the GOP senators care, because he'll rubber stamp everything they want.

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018...-mentally-retarded-orders-assassination-assad

One week after his Watergate colleague, Carl Bernstein, helped author a widely debunked story alleging that Michael Cohen had evidence that President Trump gave the OK for the infamous June 2016 Trump Tower meeting, Washington Post editor Bob Woodward has strategically "leaked" (to his own newspaper) the first excerpts from his upcoming book about the Trump administration. And if the non-stop coverage enjoyed by Michael Wolff's "Fire and the Fury" is any indication, Woodward's book will likely dominate the conversation in Washington for the two months between now and the midterms (just as God, and the Washington Post, intended).

Woodward's book - aptly titled "Fear" - includes explosive anecdotes about the lengths to which members of the Trump administration reportedly went to stop the president from acting on what they believed to be dangerous impulses. Staffers reportedly went as far as grabbing papers off the president's desk to stop him from acting rashly. Woodward's book was reportedly drawn from meeting notes, personal diaries and government documents given to him by administration officials, as well as hundreds of hours of interviews with administration officials and "other principals," according to WaPo.

Just in time now that the Russia collision nonsense is falling flat.
I for one am quite happy to see that Trump is doing exactly what he was elected to do and shaking things up in the WH.

Giuliani just comes right out and states that Trump will fight to block Mueller's report.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/blog...-report-could-it-work/?utm_term=.4339b55485a7

Mueller will file a concluding report with Rod Rosenstein, the Deputy Attorney General, at the end of the investigation, and, in theory, Rosenstein has the option of releasing the report to Congress and to the public. But Giuliani pointed out a little-known aspect of the agreement that Trump’s original legal team struck with Mueller: the White House reserved the right to object to the public disclosure of information that might be covered by executive privilege.

I asked Giuliani if he thought the White House would raise objections. “I’m sure we will,” he said, adding that the President would make the final call. In other words, the conclusion of the special counsel’s investigation could be the beginning of a contentious fight over whether Rosenstein is allowed to release a complete version of Mueller’s report. Mostly campaign finance stuff for all the guilty ones. Another positive from the trump presidency, the dems and other candidates are probably just as corrupt, now in future they'll have to be less corrupt or hide it better.
You probably don't know what an indictment is, so you are only listing those because it sounds bad/cool. Who knows.

Like I said the Russian collision probe(not that, that is even a crime or wrong) has fallen flat.

The video is here.

Do you shake hands with random people who tap you on the arm from behind?

Besides, you lot are not are missing out the real important thing from these hearings...
HVEZQ3VENA3ORCNGFJ35FOP74A.png

The controversy over Bash’s hand placement started on Twitter in the midst of the hearing. A few liberal-leaning accounts with large followings who do not work for traditional news media outlets had noticed that Bash had been making an “okay” sign with her hand as it rested on her arm as she sat behind Kavanaugh at the hearing. The symbol — yes, that everyday hand sign with thumb and forefinger arranged in a circle and three fingers splayed upward — is not considered a hate symbol by organizations such as the Anti-Defamation League, but it has been the subject of a campaign by Internet hoaxsters and trolls to be converted to that use to inflame the sensibilities of well-meaning people online.

The description for this retardation is brilliantly described by Gad Saad as collective munchausen syndrome.
