What a shambles. Trump is acting as though Pompeo is Secretary of State when it's not close to being confirmed because I guess he likes Pompeo more than John Sullivan or something.

To be fair, he probably didn't know about it until Fox & Friends were talking about it.

The White House had to correct him because he was talking crap.

TIL that the simplest explanation is a heresy.

Bit nitpicky, but it's technically the explanation with the fewest assumptions, which is not necessarily the same as simplest. :p

Some things are complicated and US politics is one of those things. The simplest explanation can still be complicated just because of the sheer size of the beast. Just going "Trump is a stupid moron" isn't a valid simple explanation to anything.

You know you're so wrong you're right again. Or vice versa.

Who kept on telling us that things were simple to fix and he was the one to do it all? Trump, the stupid moron, that's who. And simpletons gobbled it all up, buying line after line. "Trump is going to fix it", they/you said. "He's got all the answers, don't worry that he doesn't bother furnishing us with the how, he's pinky promising that once he's in office it'll be easy!"

Who knew healthcare could be so complicated? Who knew taxes could be so complicated? Who knew Syria could be so complicated?

Everyone knew, except Trump and the braindead GOP'ers who keep defending this dolt.

Ex-Playboy Model, Freed From Contract, Can Discuss Alleged Trump Affair

The tabloid news company American Media Inc. agreed to let a former Playboy model out of a contract that had kept her from talking freely about an alleged affair with Donald J. Trump.

The settlement agreement, reached on Wednesday, ends a lawsuit brought by the model, Karen McDougal, and protects the president from being drawn into a legal case involving efforts to buy the silence of women who had stories to tell about him during the 2016 campaign.

He still faces another lawsuit from Stephanie Clifford, the pornographic film actress known as Stormy Daniels. Ms. Clifford is suing to get out of a deal that Mr. Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael D. Cohen, arranged in 2016 for her silence about an alleged affair. Mr. Trump’s representatives have denied both women’s stories.

In August 2016, A.M.I., which owns The National Enquirer, acquired the rights to Ms. McDougal’s story about Mr. Trump — which it never ran — in return for $150,000 and commitments to use its magazines to promote her current career as a fitness specialist.

Weird how the right moan and whine about morals regarding gays and transgenders, but will deepthroat Trump like he was the 2nd coming.

Like it or not, it appears we’re about to hear a lot more about President Trump between the sheets. On Wednesday, the New York Times reports, American Media Inc., owner of the National Enquirer, agreed to a settlement releasing former Playboy model Karen McDougal from a contract that prohibited her from speaking freely about her alleged affair with Trump. The terms of the settlement appear to be highly favorably to McDougal, who was essentially freed from the August 2016 contract and gets to keep the $150,000 payment for the original sale of the story to the National Enquirer.

One of President Donald Trump’s longtime legal advisers said he warned the president in a phone call Friday that Michael Cohen, Mr. Trump’s personal lawyer and close friend, would turn against the president and cooperate with federal prosecutors if faced with criminal charges.

Mr. Trump made the call seeking advice from Jay Goldberg, who represented Mr. Trump in the 1990s and early 2000s. Mr. Goldberg said he cautioned the president not to trust Mr. Cohen. On a scale of 100 to 1, where 100 is fully protecting the president, Mr. Cohen “isn’t even a 1,” he said he told Mr. Trump.

Scott Pruitt Is Now Being Investigated By The House of Representatives, Senate, White House, Office of Management and Budget, Government Accountability Office, and EPA Inspector General

The best people, folks. Rietrot, can you tell us what stroke of genius this is?

Seems the Russians were told about this policy decision before the US's UN ambassador.

You know things are ****ed up when Nikki Haley is one of the few people in your administration that still has some semblance of competence.

Yeah I'm sure Trumpites believe your edit ;) Or are you saying that she also has no credibility, like the rest of his administration

She has no credibility, like many others in the administration. Not familiar enough with them all to comment on whether anyone has any credibility, Nikki Haley sure as shyte has f-all.

Why do you say Nikki Haley has no credibility? Not saying you're wrong (I don't know) but I'm assuming you have reasons to make this judgement about her - her track record, or some scandal or something which leads you to say she has no credibility? I don't know much about her but a quick google search didn't reveal anything obvious...

I've seen far too many broadcasts of her addressing the UN, she sings the US agenda like a god damn canary regardless of how stupendously wrong it is. Someone with no semblance of a moral compass has no credibility imo.

:erm: :wtf: her job at the UN is to represent the US government, she's not there in her personal capacity.

You mean just like she represented the US this time around by claiming there were sanctions coming when there wasn't?

She represented as much information as anybody had at the time she spoke. Is it her fault Trump changed his mind and didn't communicate it properly?

Yep, just shows how the Trump administration changes it's tune from one day to the next...
