So in other words, we're dealing with your imagination as I initially said.
No, you are dealing with knowledge, as opposed to BS

The other core argument was the word 'products'. In the steel industry, that doesn't refer to finished products like your idiots and you think it does. There are flat products, long products, pipe and tube products.

Flat products account for more than 50% of the exports to the US. Long products another 25%. The semifinished products that your article refers to? Less than 2%.

It's all out there on the internet, if you are actually bothered to find out...actual industry numbers, as opposed to believing whatever your conservative friends tell you.

No, I'm dealing with sophistry. Link up or shut up. And note my edit to the previous post.

Edit: https://www.trade.gov/steel/countries/pdfs/imports-Canada.pdf
Lol. Did you even read it?

The article is built on BS. Thanks for the confirmation.

Can you go and look at the exports as well, since you are feeling energetic. You will find all of what I said was true. As it's from the same source, you plonker

Actually it shows that Canada imports way more steel than you said it did. And more to the point, if the graph you just quoted is correct then American tariffs against China won't affect the Canadians. And there's no reason to conclude that Trump would simply apply an across-the-board tariff hike.

Show me

Were the American tariffs against China? Check again

First paragraph. Produce 13m tons, import 7m tons.

As far as I can tell, Trump is only talking about what he will be doing, and in general terms. It's more likely than not that the actual tariffs will deal with specific countries on a case by case basis.

Whatever you think. Pick your articles better next time. This one was too easy to pick apart. Wading through schit is not pleasant
Nah, that's what the Canadians think and put in their government reports.

And what did I say which conflicted with that?

Suppositions again, why do you keep doing this? It doesn't work well for you

Do you understand what consumption means?

It sounds like nonsense to you because you don't understand what it means. Don't put that on me
Ok, real slow now: How many tons of steel does Canada produce, and how many tons do they consume?

Summary:

1. Posts article with BS factual information
2. When pointed out the BS, doesn't see the relevance despite the article being premised on the BS
3. Waffles on a about something or the other numerous times, vigourously moving goalposts
4. Argues with forumite who is looking at industry information
5. Posts industry information in a flourish....that actually prove the article is BS. Wtf.
7. Guesses what Trump is going to do
6. Doesn't seem to understand words and stuff

Ok, real slow now: How many tons of steel does Canada produce, and how many tons do they consume?
2016 production: 9.7
2016 Consumption: 10.8
Exports: 4.6

How does this:
First paragraph. Produce 13m tons, import 7m tons

prove it wrong in any way whatsoever?

1. Posts article with BS factual information
Posts article whose central thesis has yet to be challenged.

2. When pointed out the BS, doesn't see the relevance despite the article being premised on the BS
I guess we're ignoring the fact that Canda imports 7m tons of steel anually compared to the 13m tons it produces for a total steel consumption of 20m tons.

3. Waffles on a about something or the other numerous times, vigourously moving goalposts
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

4. Argues with forumite who is looking at industry information
Is this supposed to be you? :erm:

5. Posts industry information in a flourish....that actually prove the article is BS. Wtf.
Except it doesn't and it also proves that you pull BS stats from your arse and pretend your opinion is authoritative.

7. Guesses what Trump is going to do
Well, if you don't guess what Trump is going to do in the future, you can't form an opinion about what Trump is going to do. If this is something stupid to do, why are you even talking about the implications of Trump's actions yet to pass?

6. Doesn't seem to understand words and stuff
Get the plank out of your own eye before you pretend at picking the mote out of someone else's eye.
