There are already allegations being made, of attempted rape among other things. But your point about Trump's campaign promises is laughably irrelevant to anything.

Funny, 'cos Stephens condemned Cruz being heckled out of the restaurant and also, 'cos he's a never-Trump conservative. I disagree with him on BLM and climate and so much more, but I can't fault a word he says about Cruz... Still, good to know you've been assimilated into the 'no-one is entitled to express their personal opinion on any matter whatsoever' collective by the Borg.

I point out that there is very good motive to hurt Trump's administration, and you say it is irrelevant because in your mind his nominee has already been discredited.

I asked this before about 10 pages I think. Do you believe the Democrats are pursuing this for justice and the truth?

I have zero opinion of Cruz, and Stephens. I am however casting shade on Lefties. Following people around and harassing them in person for political opinions just takes it to another level. It's ironic that you accuse me of being part of the collective, when those protesters are actually working as a collective to harass this man. :ROFL:

These women have come forward independently asking to be heard, asking for an investigation into their claims. Justice and truth would dictate that they be investigated. Do you think the Republicans give two **** about justice and truth when they barrel over the sexual harassment claims of multiple women to confirm Kavanaugh at any cost?

Personal feelings aside, lets break it down from a political perspective. This is how I see it playing out.

If these women want justice, they would take it to the relevant authorities. These cases should be lodged with the Maryland authorities. Greg correctly pointed out that these alleged crimes have not prescribed (about 10 pages back). Attempted rape, indecent exposure, and the alleged gang rape accusations that still need to grace our eyeballs should all be reported, and be jointly and individually investigated. No one is blocking that. There is resistance to do an investigation in the FBI, as there is no legal basis in which to do it. There are rules and regulations in place stopping this. There are however other law enforcement agencies that do this in place. The hearings will carry on, and the Maryland authorities can investigate at the same time.

The politicians are going to do what they do. The Pubs are going to push their nominee through due to the upcoming vote in November. They don't have a choice politically. Trump has election promises to uphold, and they don't want to look weak as their voters will lash out for losing this seat. The Democrats will use the media and other channels to discredit Kavanaugh and Republicans because they see this as an important win. The Dems will use this as an opportunity to show that the Pubs are uncaring and "don't care about women's rights". Kavanaugh will then have this cloud over him for the rest of his life, innocent, or guilty. If Kavanaugh is confirmed, the Dems will try find ways to impeach him. And I go back to the so called lies that Kavanaugh told to the Senate. I believe there are grounds for impeachment there. If the Maryland authorities built a solid enough of a case, they will need to find a Prosecutor to fight this in Court, appoint a jury (can you imagine) and at that point Kavanaugh can be impeached as a sitting judge has pending criminals charges.

No. The Republicans don't give a ****. Neither do the Democrats. You are the one that does not want to admit it. It's hypocritical all round, and that is my point. How is the truth supposed to get out? Please tell me, do you really think I want the truth to be hidden? I am burning to know if Kavanaugh is a sexual deviant, and to see these women get justice. I would love to see a woman in his place too.

Is it wrong? Yeah. Morally it is questionable. The Republicans have got to go with it now as there is no time to bring another nominee in before the November vote. And this is why Feinstein sat on the letter for 6 weeks.

I'm not going to question the issue of whether Dems are morally dubious in their handling of this matter. I'm just saying, it would be a travesty of 'justice' if Judge Kavanaugh was confirmed to the Supreme Court without giving these women the benefit of a proper hearing and investigation. Do you think they're personally motivated by partisanship? Ford has been doxxed and subjected to death threats, and Trump said that Deborah Ramirez was 'totally inebriated and all messed up'. They have nothing to gain by coming forward, and they're being smeared by the right.

I heard on 702 today that several African countries (Inc SA) is bleak that US might withdraw foreign funding due to these countries voting against them in the UN.

Got me thinking (although the commentator was trying to compare the withdrawal as high treason and immoral), why would the US (or any other nation) give aid to another country that does not support their agenda?
