Calling the democrats in the US leftists is naive at best. Even Obama was very nearly as right leaning as McCain, and less liberal.

In any case. The fault is that they veered too far from good, sensible moderate values. If the Whitehouse stays extreme right leaning as it is now (very likely after these riots sadly), then the US is in for a complete cluster f**k at some point in the future. If the Whitehouse goes more moderate then there's a chance that things will stabilise for better or for worse. If the white house now goes extreme left somehow (for arguably the first time in history - and I'm not talking about Biden here), then I put forth that at some point there will be a civil war in the US within the next few decades.

But the mob knows only to throw the ball back and forth. It doesn't know how to walk the line. And these days politics seems to be a mob sport empired by whoever can fool enough people on social media. Of course in this regard Obama is somewhat to blame. His methods of engaging on social media was considered revolutionary at the time during his campaign. But now we see Trump threatening to close down Twitter and co if they even dare block his endless dry humping of the internet. Something that would be considered laughable, maybe even unthinkable at the turn of the century. Just goes to show... It's not always easy to see what is really good, and what is really bad.

In any case these rioters are shooting themselves in the foot (feet?). They are common denominatoring the bejeesus out of themselves.

Hopefully the US can find a middle ground again. Anything else leads to an ugly place.

Anyone not bending a knee to the 'counter-protesters' is a protester and needs to be countered. They are good guys, countering the protesters by beating, burning, looting and killing.
