Eish there goes my Gadget budget. I was just informed by the Hotel manager here in Huston that I have made about 25 minutes of phone calls to South Africa. Guess how much they are charging? $780 dollars :(

I can't even use Skype their Internet is too damn slow. Vodacom I miss you and your affordable prices.

Have you ever phoned overseas from a South African hotel? I have, and it's outrageous what some charge. Some years back my SA hotel phone bill came to over R11K. Never make long distance calls from a hotel. Local calls in the USA are free, though some hotels charge a $1 connection fee per unlimited duration local call.

I opened a mini-bar once at Holiday Inn in Las Vegas, just to look inside. $10 stock check fee on the bill. But downstairs, if you are a guest and eat there, drinks are free

Have you never heard of Telkom's World Call Card? Calls from the USA to SA charged at R0.60 p/m, peak and off-peak. A R100 call will give you 167 minutes of calls! Last time I was in the US, I called my wife every day and we spoke for 1/2 hour each time. Will be doing the same when I go there next year 21 - 28 January.

This is how I know you're a bullshetter/troll. I'm in the US and I haven't been to any hotels here that don't have Wi-Fi, and that includes backwater small ass towns such as Elyria, Ohio. But no, you're in Houston, which is the country's 4th largest city.

If you do make calls to international numbers you are looking at into $2-3 a minute max. The fact that you even used the hotel phone to phone your made up wife in another country is an asinine excuse itself.

The fact that you are in Houston and you keep spelling it Huston.

Make your stories better mate, rather stick to incest.

I have stayed in the cheapest, smallest and crappiest hostels in the US, and even they had internet suitable for Skype, so I don't buy it.

Hi,

Guys I know that I'm at the bottom of the food chain for most members here, I'd appreciate it if you could reserve the insults later.

Anyways, my 12year old brother apparently caught my girlfriend kissing some dude. She denies it , I feel betrayed, what can I do ? My brother never lies, and has nothing to gain by telling me that. I trusted her. I am so torn apart, we were supposed to get married this December and move to Huston together.
:(

I'm in Huston, Texas. Right now my priority is getting toys/gadgets. Other items such as Roomba will only consider next year, as I'll be staying here permanently :)

She was pregnant but had a miscarriage after 8 weeks. Damn, this is difficult I don't know what I'm gonna do. I can't stay with someone I don't trust. Besides she'll have to spend the whole day at home while I work here in Huston. :(

Sure mate.

@News24 from Brits: Lies lies and more lies. Yeah, this is a clear proof: Low IQ and lying don't mix :D

The OP is talking bull**** to the max, roflmao

What's next. People transferring money to him so he can buy and bring back cheap tech for them from Huston as Christmas presents.

Wow, he may be one of the more colorful characters here (and by colorful I mean wtf-weird but anyway) but the venom in some posts is really childish and immature. Rather shut up if you have nothing of value to say ...... internet tough guys.

Yes I'm in Houston, what's your problem. The hotel does have wi-fi, it's just that its too damn slow, calling with skype you only get delayed robotic voice from the other end. It looks like your taking my post way personal. Call any Marriot owned hotels and ask them about their call rates.

I have stayed in the cheapest, smallest and crappiest hostels in the US, and even they had internet suitable for Skype, so I don't buy it.
You don't have to buy it, because I ain't selling, just did a speed test, I'm getting Ping: 180ms, Down: 0.29MB, Up 0.30MB. The hotel where I'm staying is not crappy, the only thing crappy is the internet, I have a king sized bed, with complete kitchen(with real fridege, not the bar/mini fridge). I am paying $399 per night. I'm just sharing my experiences with my fellow myBB members about hotels here.

Does it really matter? I can guarantee you that even with my low IQ, I make 10 times what you make per month, I'm not employed in SA, don't work for the government, have no affiliations with the ANC and I don't have any business in SA :).

Let me take a lucky guess, you have only been to 4 provinces in since you were born, and you have never crossed our borders, right? As a motivation for you my friend, I've been to 4 different continents in the last 2 months, excluding Africa.

Dude I don't need handouts, I never said that I'm broke, as a matter of fact I just spoiled myself today, got myself an iPhone4S 16 GB with juice pack :)

Ok we didn't mean to be offensive your stories just seem to be a bit unbelievable.

For us poor folk I am curious what do you do for a living that you can
- Take 2 months off to see the world (4 different continents in the last 2 months, excluding Africa)
- Earn 10 times what us plebs earn
- buy the latest gadgets
- pay $400 per night hotel rate excluding other amenities.

My guess is rich daddy? Just curious as you seem to be having it.
