I'm still capped, but my usage counters on www.iburst.co.za have all reset to zero, so maybe this is a good sign.

and its almost Christmas.. almost a month of slow speeds.
c'mon guys, three weeks and you still cant fix this?
I have to agree. I received my invoice for the month of January in my inbox, yet I have spent pretty much the month of December capped? How about I pay you for the 64kb offering instead, iBurst? That's pretty much what I'm getting.

I'm on leave now, and I can see why you folks have been hammering iBurst so hard. It hadn't really affected me until now. :@

This morning at about 10:50, my iBurst connection dropped and reconnected. I don't seem to be capped any more.

My bandwidth usage stats still show what I think are incorrect totals, and it still shows 0.00MB remaining.

Been in Jhb using iBurst. At the beginning of the month I had over 1gb of bandwidth carried over. Now it has suddenly reverted to 0, and I am capped. Reading this thread convinces me that the iBurst bandwidth monitor has been infected with a rogue random number generator.

Similar situation, had over 250MB carried over at the end of last month now have 73MB, and I haven't used the iBurst network at all this month.

Got an interesting email this morning. I see iBurst is trying to fix the issue - they's put in a give-away figure that puts me back in the black.

A bit late, but still appreciated. Thanks, iBurst.

iBurst has capped me with 1GB to go. No amount of reseting solves the problem.

someone decided to sneak in bandwidth reports, the first since beginning of Dec

LOL

[Humour for change]
I offer to rename topic from "Usage Inaccurate" to "Random Usage".

Looks like they have got usage monitor infested with virus called "random number generator with deviation of +/-50GB from true numbers", instead of bandwidth monitor.
[No disrespect intended]

My main problem is this, if you Usage is not at least 95% accurate... then billing will Fail.

Previously Iburst gave all GIGA and above (free) 64K throttled speeds after the cap.
So even if they cut you off say 300mb or 500mb too quick (in advance) then you could still browse or email.

Iburst should really rethink the whole thing. Unless they really want the helpdesk swarmed with angry Customers on a weekly/daily basis. (Motto should be : Rather have alot of happy customers vs Alot of Unhappy one's)

I eventually received some feedback, namely a jpg showing a monthly summary of my usage. It clearly shows that I did not use all my allocation in November, so I should have about 1 gig carried over. This was attached to their message:

As per our records you didn't have any bandwidth carried over to December. Please take a look at the attached screen dump. Should you have information that states otherwise please forward it to us for investigation.

Damn it. I know I don't have any bandwidth carried over to December. I'm complaining because I should have had bandwidth carried over. It was there before and after the account was migrated to 2 wireless earlier this month. Now it is gone.

Okay, so I've sent a reply pointing out the obvious.

I guess I will get a reply some time in January when I'm back in Port Alfred and the opportunity to use the bandwidth has passed me by.
