I bought a USB 4 port Hub at a china shop. Big mistake i know.

it works but when i plug in my phone to charge and my mouse it keeps on loosing connection, almost like it doesnt have enough power.

any recommendations from takealot for a affordable solution as my laptop only has 2 ports and i have many, many devices

You much purchase a powered hub.
It has a separate power supply.
Get a usb 3 one.

I have this and it works perfectly even when all 4 ports are used.

Also, as said above, make sure it comes with its own power adapter charging port.
