Using an old Billion 400G router as a signal extender.

Hi guys,
I want to use my old Billion 400G router as a wifi signal extender so that the flat at the back of my house can also utilise the wifi I have installed in the house(ADSL).
Problem is that I can't remember the Billion's username and password. Pressing the reset button with a pin for 6-8 seconds, as the manual indicates, to reset to default settings does not work.
Is there any other process I can follow to reset the router to factory settings?
