Been using utorrent without any issues for ages. Then a few days ago I noticed that my web browsing was getting very spotty. Slow and lots and lots of time outs. After a day I realized that it was only when utorrent was on that this was occurring and the very moment I closed the program, bam, back to perfect browsing.

Not too sure what could have caused that but I decided that for the moment I would just only use utorrent when away from the PC, as the torrent speeds were still fine.

Then today, the double whammy. Browsing affected by utorrent AND uploading and downloading of torrents non existent, despite the green tick connection symbol.

Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I use Comodo firewall...maybe a new update for it is causing the issue?

Have shut off comodo, windows firewall and peer blocker. Problem persists.

if u have a large amount of torrent in utorrent, or even a few, dont pause them, stop them. When paused they still make connections. I have the same problem, not sure if utorrent is killing my routers memory or if its just the line shapping which goes nuts when p2p is active

Only have 3 and they are active and I generally don't have more running than that. In the end I disabled my router's firewall (which shouldn't be a prob if i have comodo and windows firewall on right?) and that solved the web browsing problem. My torrents have shown a TINY bit of life but clearly something is still wrong. Maybe it's just a temporary MWEB issue now and was unrelated to the browser problem.

Seems MWEB are doing work on their CT network, so I guess it's to do with that.

Why don't you try an earlier to far earlier version of utorrent.

It solved a few issues on my pc before, but then i do not know what router you use either.

Just a suggestion.
