If you do you stand a better chance with the prossies, so go spend R500 on them and get whatever you want.;)

My first ex's favourite animal was a cow. She absolutely adored them like crazy for some reason. So I bought the hugest cuddly cow stuffed animal I had ever seen :D lol

My last ex had her 21st near valentines. She had never flewn before, so I arranged a hot air balloon ride early in the morning together with full buffet breakfast after touch down :)

This year there is no valentines for me :p

It depends. I went on a countryside one which was expensive - I'm not sure if they operate anymore - was called Bill Harrops or something. But if you can organise one closer to the city where they carry sponsorships where there are people to see them then you will pay much less.
 
I agree it's the thought that counts, I would be more than happy if my husband just writes me an old fashion love letter saying how much I mean to him and how much he loves me ... oh and champagne wouldn't hurt either.

I think if you can make it personal and special she/he will not forget it and to me that means more than a million rand cash!

Mich, in this materialistic world we are in I find it hard to believe that you would prefer a love letter and champagne to a million Rand.

I'm not the materialistic type ... honesty and love, having a happy family, are far more important to me than any amount of money in the world.

I've always said that I would rather be sharing a batchelor flat with my husband and know that he loves and adores me than to have the most beautiful house/posessions and he doesn't love/adore me.
 
Mich, point taken but I am not comparing feelings like love with a big house. We are comparing flowers or a love letter to a million bucks. Besides nothing stops one from providing both i.e. a love letter plus an expensive gift.

Every girl I've ever been involved with (not many mind you but still) wants a love letter like every single day :confused::wtf::D

I mean thats nice and all but what then do I do for valentines day say next year if I'm with someone.

In other words I am supposed to willingly show my appreciation every day if I truly love her. Valentines day then has to go beyond that where you spoil her a bit no? :o

mmmkay I guess no one told him that 18 is way softer than 9... that is why 9 is cheaper than 18 and 24 cause it has more alloy in it to make it harder..

gold is so soft it wears away...
