Why would they bother calling for witnesses if the video shows that she is lying? I think the video is probably not clear enough or something along those lines.

discrepancy - an illogical or surprising lack of compatibility or similarity between two or more facts.

Didn't that word also come up with regard to the cctv footage in the model with two broken legs story?

Your mistake is taking what is said by the police at face value, they are really not the best at communicating, just look at this:

"It's one of those things where the pepper spray is used, we must know which charge can be used and also when he or she reads the statement to give more advice on what has to be done [sic]."

Coming to the model's case I think the word used was "corrupted", they said the footage was corrupted.

Yeah, look I hear you.

Once when I made a statement at a local police station, the officer taking the statement paused on the form to ask me at which branch I was making the statement. I looked up at him in disbelief...the name of the station emblazoned on the wall directly behind him in huge chrome block lettering...

Most likely in regards to audio which the cctv wouldn't have, it is one thing to get engaged in a brawl but another to claim that it was a racial attack.

Probably we can't push for a racial attack because there is no audio and it's possible the lady was out her car when the pepper spray was discharged.

The suspect who had called her out for parking incorrectly also called her a baboon.

A woman accused of using pepper spray to attack a mother while she was breastfeeding her 4-month-old baby in her car, has opened a counter-case of assault. Beauty therapist Tarynne van der Westhuizen appeared in the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate's Court this week on charges of assault after she allegedly pepper sprayed Itumeleng Tsoeu, 30, in the parking area of Vaal Mall in Vanderbijlpark in August, Netwerk24 reported. Van der Westhuizen allegedly also hurled racial slurs at Tsoeu, calling her baby a monkey, EWN reported.
