Vasectomy - NOT!!!!

Semen analysis/spermiogram is not a substitute for a paternity test, and wasn't implied as such. If he is azoospermic then the urologist is not at fault. All vasectomies need to have follow up spermiograms post op until it shows the patient has azoospermia. Before that is not done, the vasectomy has not been completed. These are super basic principles that I'm sure the urologist would have followed. For a paternity test they only need to swab your cheek or you need to spit in a bottle for epithelial cell DNA, but that would be the next step after a spermiogram that shows azoospermia.
It's been 9 YEARS...not 9 days or weeks.

Why the fuk is this so hard to understand?

If the husband has sperm in his ejaculate, the the vasectomy reversed itself and he is the father.
If no sperm, he cannot be the father and she messed around.

And those are two logical options we were discussing...NOT your wild card of the husband's vasectomy reversed itself AND his wife cheated on him.
cute.

I had my firing pin removed 20 years ago. Been no unplanned pregnancies since then.
None that you know of...

Exactly. It seems like OP never completed/checked if the vasectomy was successful 9 years ago (which is a fundamental basic when performing the procedure). The urologist is not at fault.

Dude, go do the paternity test first. If you did not get her pregnant the past 9 years, why suddenly 5 months ago? You vasectomy has a better chance of being a success than your wife ever getting pregnant. Clear this up first. Bad things do happen. This is life.
There is also the possibility that he might need 3 paternity tests and never needed the vasectomy to start with.

Hahaha... You guys are funny...

Any case, I have regained some sanity...
Seeing the urologist next week.

Getting back into this baby mood is hard.
We are still young (35), so it is not a biggie, but mentally we moved on from babies years ago, so this will require some forcefull reprogramming.

Timing is the worse, recently sold the house, moved into a flat, starting a new house build.

Gonna be a rough 1 or 2 years ahead...

might be twins...

Now I'm curious about the odds of a vasectomy not working? Is this quite a normal thing?
My doctor told me years ago when i had mine that the tubes are cut, therefore guaranteed. Whether there is a different lesser guaranteed method, i cannot say though.

@Caldo

You probably wish you went for test right now.
Going for the test 9 years ago was not going to change anything... In fact I was not really in the mood or space to beat my meat.
I have been shooting for the last 9 years without any result, so the operation was successful 9 years ago.

Also not planning to sue the urologist.
The guy did his job, he advised me on all matters negative sperm test, etc. including if I wanted to reverse the operation, the cost, success and medical will not cover, blah blah.
