The company's ADSL line was recently upgraded by Telkom to 4 mbit/s and I arranged to upgrade our Mweb service from 1 m to 4 m. Thing is whereas on the 1 mbit/s link I managed between 90% & 99% downloads rates pretty much all of the time, with the new 4 mbit/s line I can barely get 1 mbit/s. I have checked this with both Speedtest and several large file downloads at various times of the day. Mweb techies tell me it looks OK from their end and the connection rates and attenuation showing on the router look OK. Telkom claim to have 'fixed' the problem. The downloads start at close to 4 mbit/s but rapidly slow to sub 1 mbit/s. Router is a Netgear DGN2200 Wireless-N300.
Anybody have an idea if this might be a router problem or is this the type of speed that I can expect??
