Vetkoek !

OMG!!! Memories :( I miss the family vetkoek from Stadium Cafe in Bloemfontain (early 90's when I was in the army)
Oh, dont worry, it still exists and has actually just been revamped a few weeks ago. I go past there quite often although I have only ever had coffee from there... :) Its called stadium fast foods though now I think

Suppose it doesn't help Blu by me saying I'm making them for supper tonight huh :D

Ewwww @ chicken mayo vetkoek. I think i just threw up in my mouth a lil bit.

Sexeh i know :) PK digs it.

C'mon, blu. It's not that difficult to make from scratch. And it'll taste really good when you're done. :)

I smaak my wife's vetkoek. Depending on what fillings we make, she makes either the smaller hand-sized ones or the giant "hold with both hands" size!!

Indeed. At least your wife can make vetkoek. I wouldn't have the foggiest. Hats off to your wife!

The ladies at our work canteen also make the giant version and then stuff it full of curry/savoury mince - R8 each - a bargain.

But I've had to stay off them since my blood test results last year - cholesterol!
