Vindication for the racists

Wait, 2010 is going to be a disaster if it comes and yes, things in SA are going to collapse. We also said that years ago.
Was the infamous pupa not one of those predicting this doom. From what I read in his posts, thanks to certain "quiet" members always referring to him, his views was much in line of what we see and experience today. So if he still exists maybe he can claim "I told You So", of course that will not be without his usual tirades! For his views a certain faction kept on pestering him for their own agendas. They wanted him banned! Now I believe many of those idiots, still existing here, realize now the truth and the value of his then predictions.

And the ANC Camp are still silent.
Damning evidence right there.
Sooner or later taunts like mine here will draw one from the woodwork, dripping venom.

To offer something in mitigation of this power issue the ANC at the time had very valid 'other' priorities and they all centered around uplifting the masses who had been oppressed for so many years in an unequal system.

At the time money was not easy to come by, the country was in a very poor financial state and there was no tax surplass iirc and the tax base significantly smaller than it is now.

I think it is safe to say that they prioritised to deliver to their voters first, too show that they would follow through with election promises.
Noble, but still no excuse for not listening to the experts and ignoring all the warning signs.

The ANC have now (all by themselves) undone a lot of the good work that has been done in growing our economy.
This is going to have a massive negative effect on our economy, might even put it in reverse gear.
I still don't think the ANC are capable of taking this crisis seriously. They are to inwardly focused.

Rather say they did not have the insight or bluntly put, the brains, to manage and continue with this countries progress. At least Madiba had some success as he garnished those that knew without getting stuck in the past. Well thats all gone now. Shiite we have and it will stay. Forever!

Pupa was not banned for his opinions. Too bad I deleted the abusive and taunting PMs he sent me.

When the ANC received this Govt as a gift, they had everything...Hardly any crime, jobs were available, you could ( sort of ) walk the streets without any fear, you had a stable millitary, police, electricity ( oh my!! ), etc.
Its easy to promise ppl houses etc when you inherrit something you never worked for ( dont tell me they "fought" for this country as i can't remember ME fighting against them while in the Army ). Now, after 14 years "in charge", how come they are heading backwards? Maby its because the "Gravy Train" has run out?? Something tells me that its only a "family" job to run the gov. Some ppl in the gov can't even PRONOUNCE words correctly...i mean, ****, WEK = WORK? If they cant even pronounce the word WORK, how in the hell can they still govern?...just a thought

What was he banned for then?

Furthermore, Pupa sent me several aggressive and abusive PMs, more than once 'daring' me to ban him. On the night the Pupa thing exploded, one of the mods sent out a message to the other mods requesting that they be around, as it was clear that the Pupa thing was about to explode (which of course it did).

After the forth or fifth PM I received from Pupa (and of course taking into account his general behaviour), I requested a more senior mod to ban him.

They did nothing except borrow from the future. A stupid idea, no matter how it is made to sound noble.

All they have done is build an ivory tower on a layer of silt.

Sorry - no mitigation as far as I am concerned.

I agree, just adding something else besides I told you so's and I have been saying that for years to the debate;).
There is no excuse for them not reacting in a positive fashion in 2000, it is inexcusable that in 2003 and as late as March 2006 they were still 'DENYING' that there was in fact a power crisis brewing in this country. That from the now deputy president and the president himself respectively.

Mmm Interesting reads. He was adament about certain things. But maybe this was the real crux of the matter. Just wonder what really drove him to his MyADSL suicide?

@kilo39, I strongly suggest that you review pupa's posts leading up to the ban of his username: there were a number of posts where pupa requested that his username be banned, as well as requests via p.m.

The username 'pupa' was not banned for the opinions associated with pupa, nor style or lack thereof, pupa was banned bcos [1] pupa requested the ban and [2] pupa's behaviour throughout Thursday last week supported this [personal attacks & insults puntuated with swearing, as well as ignoring tone-town requests from several mods].

Furthermore, several mods [myself included], moderated many many posts and not just pupa's posts were moderated on Thursday.

So glad that I have made plans for me and my family to leave South Africa.

Last person to go please switch off the lights - hold on, scratch that....:p

One of my clients is a major industrial developer in the Durban area. Cato Ridge area is one new such development. I heard the other day that Eskom has told this developer not to bother with new factories etc as they wont be able to connect them to the national grid.

The implications of this especially nationwide? Development dramatically slows or stops. Contruction industry goes into a huge dip and the repercussions are felt everywhere. Eventually a major recession and all the associated hell.

Here I am, not seething venom, but actually acknowledge the fact that we, the great black nation has messed up big time. It take a grown-@!! man to acknowledge that and that is the only way that one allows oneself to learn and therefore become a wiser man.

What we see now are implications of what happened 13 years ago when we took over. There was a lot of mismanagement from then, so therefore the situation we are in today.

There was no hand over of tasks but more of a brute force "give me what is mine" type of power struggle.

There was a lot of skills lose due to that, from the level of the guavamint ivory towers to the mere companies.

So how do we pick up the ball and go for a try?

I know for a fact that our leaders are know going to admit any fault on their part as it is beneath them to do so.

There has got to be a way that we, as the member of the public, could force them to reconsider what they are subjecting us to.

They are living in their safe havens whereas we are being slaughtered by these murderers who cannot be brought to book.

Look at Mr Jackie Selebi, whose neighbors are being killed just a few metres from his residence.

Uh, yes. Don't vote for them. But thats to much to ask for from the general public isn't it?
