Virgin GPRS online|offline?

...yep..... although back on now

Tonights VM internet has been like this for me.

Started fine at around 7.45 or something like that. Then about 45 mins or an hour later the stop/start thing started to kick-in, where page starts to load, get half way, stops then continues till fully loaded. This progressivley got worse in that was taking between 1 and 2 mins to load a page. Next step up was the i had to start reloading the page cause it would fully bomb out after 10 or 30 or 50% of the page loading would just stop. Thats when i took time out to watch telly.

Then at 10 oclock, their was no connection at all. Tried half a dozen times, but as we see its back working now.

Seems to be happening everynight lately.

Yep, after I begged it to start loading the page, it did. But only after I was seriously begging it to DO something.

Have you guys had any of the vm reps from here contact you to sort this out?

I had someone phone me, and am currently waiting for cellc to get in contact with me to look into this.

Nope, because all goes well, I've heard, till they hand the "complaint/Job" over to CellC - then nothing happens further.

This up and down, and down and up and refresh business has gone far enough. It has gone as far as to drive me to put this specific behavior under my list of things I deem "Offline". I am hereby declaring VM OFFLINE until such time they can prove themselves to be stable again.

Tonight has been horrible to say the least! Or is it just me?

I think we need an threat title that wakes people up - like Virgin sucks again (trust me I toned that down ) - I can never understand how people can spend millions on advertising and then waste it all on bad service

Using VM for data is like being in an abusive relationship: you keep going back expecting things to get better until you finally realise that the only solution is a divorce. VM down here, again:rolleyes:

Same here. Plain Dead.
Correction, it Was dead. It is back online again now, altough I dont know how long it will last, this time.

.. but Ndlovu said it was working properly now ... Frikin liars. ... luckily I've turned VM offfffff completely until I hear it works from people here.

I agree. But they'll be in for a big surprise the day when VC or MTN brings out rollover bundles. And if this happens, it will be the final nail in the VM coffin :p

VM was down here as well.
