Jip,same here. I’m overusing it now because it’s back online again.back online again. up and down way to much.
LOL. Vodacom's GPRS is pathetic. If their 3G goes down I have a connection that can do almost nothing and stalls after 5 minutes.Simply unacceptable . I might have alot of gripes with Vodacom, but at least if their 3G goes down , 99% of time can revert back to Vodacom GPRS as backup. With Virgin/Cell C there is just ..well GPRS it seems..if that goes down it really goes DOWN .
Not really, get up to 25KB/s on EDGE normally when it is available.Id say the BIG speeds r temporary until everyone slowly drifts back and HOG the network.![]()

thx,They were online at 16:30 already...
Well my VM GPRS died again this morning. About 5min later it was online again.
I'm having trouble to connect with my N70 via cable to the pc.
I can get on the wap site on my phone, so then I guess gprs is working fine.
I'm dailing up with *99# , but it goes through till it says "registering your computer on the network" then it hangs just there.
Does any1 knows the initialization.. string that I can put in (cant remember I did something similar with vodacom)
He says the wap is working so it must be a phone or a pc problem. Sometimes rebooting the phone and pc helps or else the Nokia Cable Drivers are not working correctly. I use bluetooth, less of a hassle and you can locate your phone on top of the shelf for good signal.Have you connected before via this method?? See my post above - VM GPRS is dead in the water - my data card also hangs on áuthenticating' but works fine on VCI'm having trouble to connect with my N70 via cable to the pc.
