Virgin GPRS online|offline?

I can log on but there is no data transfer :( offline again?

Jip,same here. I’m overusing it now because it’s back online again.
Well, I did not know it was offline...must have missed it,it realy is possible as i just left the connection running and was not here.

Now to take a few minutes of limelight:
This is my 100th post on this forum!!!! YAY! Look @ it everybody

I know 100 posts from Oct. till Sept is nothing ,but I’ve only been ‘active’ the last 2 months…

Well, i am happy with the service, yes, vmibile got alot of downtime, but since i am a web addict, i see that as a very good thing, as i cant use internet while its down, and then i am forced to do other things....

LOL. Vodacom's GPRS is pathetic. If their 3G goes down I have a connection that can do almost nothing and stalls after 5 minutes.

Not really, get up to 25KB/s on EDGE normally when it is available.

getting DNS problems on ADSL on SAIX, wonder if the problem is related? VC 3G works fine though.
 
Thought when Virgin launched they were aiming at the high-end business market, good luck getting anyone to sign up for at least their internet service.
 
I Connected @ 11:57 ...no data came to me :(
Called 123..answered within the 1st min,not bad!
They said they had no probs. I reseted my phone&PC. Called them again @ 12:24. Answered realy soon again. They('Vanity' on extention 1041 again) told me that they just got the email from CellC that GPRS is OFFLINE,again.

So now i'm using my R[_AMOUNT CENSORED BY MYADSL_]-connection...:(
 
Well my VM GPRS died again this morning. About 5min later it was online again.
 
I'm having trouble to connect with my N70 via cable to the pc.
I can get on the wap site on my phone, so then I guess gprs is working fine.
I'm dailing up with *99# , but it goes through till it says "registering your computer on the network" then it hangs just there.

Does any1 knows the initialization.. string that I can put in (cant remember I did something similar with vodacom)

Have you connected before via this method?? See my post above - VM GPRS is dead in the water - my data card also hangs on áuthenticating' but works fine on VC

He says the wap is working so it must be a phone or a pc problem. Sometimes rebooting the phone and pc helps or else the Nokia Cable Drivers are not working correctly. I use bluetooth, less of a hassle and you can locate your phone on top of the shelf for good signal.
