Vista Launched!

It's exactly what they say, for instance I've got a Canon Mp150, it loaded the Vista drivers, I see no difference at the surface, but there's all those little apps and stuff that the printer normally had, which is not included, as for printing and changing printer settings, it's all there :D ;)

Yeah that comparison by Tom is old, with beta drivers and DX9 hardware.
I did a comparison using a little 8800 and Vista was faster, sometimes 40% faster.

Vista

ummm it was released yesterday that is not old and testing with a dx10 now means nothing as nothing yet uses dx10, the card will not affect normal usage and XP pwns it, bet if they used a dx 10 card the results would have been exactly the same.

Show us the system you used for the "tests" you did and the results, nice to just say it is 40% faster (b*****t)

ShockG has surprised us in the past with all his benchmark screenies, chances are you're gonna get them this time 2 :D

Well ATI only yesterday released official vista drivers and nvidia only today released a new beta driver for vista. So till we see the official drivers in action lets not pass judgement.

And an OS designed for dx10 cards will run the apps and games faster than a system designed for dx9. We shall see soon but I don't see any reason why vista will be a lot slower than xp if it is it has to do with current drivers and nothing more.
