Vista Transformation Pack

How safe is it to install this application.

I like the look Vista but cant get in installed on my PC some MBO issue.

I would just like to know is it worth installing and what items should i select when installing it.

Is it really worth it.

it looks nice, but if you ever want to uninstall it really ****s up your 'doze installation. Have to format

I'm using the theme function built into windows to change the appearance.

To use non Microsoft theme files the uxtheme.dll has to be patched.

I like the Luna Element Blue theme.

Also have a look at the other themes there in the Completed themes subforum.

ETA: Themes just change the look, unlike some of the packs that make significant changes in the dlls.

Windowblinds is pretty much the safest option...

I've had one of those packs and when I got tired of it I had issues with uninstalling it..eventually had to format. Rather dualboot Vista.

doesn't use much system resources? my XP was discernibly slower running the transformation pack. and i can attest to the uninstall stories.

Don't even think twice! I had to format my PC because it realy craps things up. I won't install it if I were you. But maeby it could work for you?

I have learned, never, never ever use a transformation pack. Sure your PC will look like Vista (why am I tempted to say it will run like Vista as well, "sarcasim"), not worth it rather theme it
