VKom301 USB Modem

Bought a new USB Modem (VKom 301) USB Modem, but it does not connect with with 8.ta's connection application.

You can only connect through the VKom 301 connection application which doesn't really give you any information that the 8.ta application gives regarding network mode etc.

Can someone give me any advice on this.

8ta's connection manager is Huawei's Mobile Partner program & will only work with Huawei modems.

You can change your network settings with that Vkom dash - try looking at the user manual in the download here

All your settings are mostly accessible via that cogwheel looking icon.
If you need to check your balance you can use Http://onnet.8ta.com
If you want to set up the sms for balance checking - set +27829129 as the message centre number.

Hi there - shrug! I dunno - its what's in my MPv23, i don't know if it was auto assigned or if i put it there myself but it works

Then it must be a ported number.
