Vodacom 20GB data promotion uncertainty

Hi folks

Just to be clear: MyBroadband received credible information about the 20GB product, which was then reiterated by the forum post. From our previous predictions about products from Telkom, Cell C, MTN etc I think you know our information can be trusted.

Vodacom would not officially comment on this product, but the fact that they say ‘no comment’ instead of ‘there is not such a product coming’ should tell you that they are obviously planning such a product. I personally find it strange that it is not launched in time for the festive season.

I hope the your source will stand up and explain what is going on.
According to jannie he said that vodacom never said anything about a special comming.

Others read rumours...
Some believe rumours to be gospel...
They get aggro when rumoured post is in fact rubbish because of assumption...

"But it must be true 'coz it was on the interwebz!"

Lesson to be learned: Don't believe everything you read!

Either your source/s is yanking your chain, or Vodacom decided to renegade on their "plan" to roll this product out.
Also, I don't think it's fair to Vodacom to construe "no comment" as an "obviously planning such a product".:confused:
 
Cell C 100GB for R2500 is proportionally equivalent to 20GB for R500, but the Cell C one is valid for 365 days, not 30 or 60 days?

This is why parents should never allow their kids to watch Sponge Bob Square Pants: the critter is not trustworthy and I'm not convinced that his pants are 100% square (slightly rectangular IMHO).

My device is off and on. But rarely giving problems.

When it works, it fires up like Megan Fox.... :-)

APN Set, SIM provisioned all the T's crossed and I's dotted. Still a fkcu up.

I still love the phone. Its awesome. Got the Samsung Note 10.1 Beautiful combi.

I bet Schameel is too stingy to run the promotion...or maybe the greedy shareholders in London.

Folks, 8ta is still running a fabulous deal with the 10GB promo, and so is CellC.
 
Vodacom was asked about their plans regarding their 20GB promotion, but a company spokesperson said that they cannot comment on the 20GB promotion.

Why can't vodacom just comment and say, Yes rpm we are going to run this promo again but we can't yet release the date's, or no rpm we are not planing to run this promo this year. :mad:

Correct, Vodacom never said it's coming. But there was a very specific post in the Vodacom sub-forum by Sponge Bob Square Pants that looked detailed enough to make one wonder and this triggered the whole saga.

MyBB did what it should do, break potential newsworthy stories. The problem, as so often happens here, is that people did not read the article and end up making (wrong) assumptions. And you know what they say about assumtions being the mother of all...... ;)

And before you ask :); I can neither confirm nor deny any of these rumours.

To summarize this thread, if you want value for money in the form of a large data bundle, cast your money in the direction of Cell C because Vodacom only has hugely over-priced data bundles. End of story.

Though I respect you Jannie, this is why you are not the favourite network out there. People would like to know what they can expect in order to plan. You are losing potential customers now because there is nothing to look forward to (if there is anything in the pipeline). If I knew there is a promo 20GB promo on the way, then I would wait a bit longer, but as it looks now, I might just purchase data elsewhere. This hurry up and wait attitude of VDC is not doing you any favours.

So it would be wise for people not to wait for Vodacom and rather get their data form 8TA or Cell C, no?
 
I told my nef he can get a model so long vodacom may release the 20Gb for 500 soon then u can use it, I knew he had vodacom 3G. So he got the modem last week, well after this morning i checked cellc website he has full cellc 3g to .I just told him to get the 100Gb cellc once of sim and leave the vodacom sim
