Just to be clear: MyBroadband received credible information about the 20GB product, which was then reiterated by the forum post. From our previous predictions about products from Telkom, Cell C, MTN etc I think you know our information can be trusted.

Vodacom would not officially comment on this product, but the fact that they say ‘no comment’ instead of ‘there is not such a product coming’ should tell you that they are obviously planning such a product. I personally find it strange that it is not launched in time for the festive season.

RPM You are definitely more trusted than the old boys at Vodacon. Don't even stress abt it.

Cell C 100GB for R2500 is proportionally equivalent to 20GB for R500, but the Cell C one is valid for 365 days, not 30 or 60 days?

Only trouble is the small matter of sucky cell C coverage. I thought I had coverage until I realised cell C have located their antenna 2 kms in the middle of the bush with only a fraction of the signal falling in town. Stupid.

Wow, that makes no sense -- that's ~R163 per GB, where the other offers are like R25 or R15 or R9 per GB!

Vodacom is still planning to launch a 20GB for R499 data promotion, but it may not be in time for the festive season

how am going to finish 20gb of data over 60 days if it's not over the festive season, some of us have got to work.

I thought he was a head of other divisions not directly dealing with data. He is more influential than I thought.

So he is responsible for all the prices we get charged. Been using my 3GB CellC for months now.

In my opinion Vodacom has really fallen from being the most preferred cellular provider to being behind both CellC and even the newcomer 8ta. It is just too funny to read about vodacom and seeing the mostly negative reactions from people on even their most decent offerings!
