Hey! so... i have Vodacom 3G on contract, but only a 1GB cap....within a week or two, depending on how much we use the internet die 1GB is depleted...
I receive a message from vadacom saying: "The data bundle on xxxxxxxxxx has already been depleted and out-of-bundle rates are applicable.Refer to your monthly bill for final usage and charges. Vodacom"... my question is, if you take out the sim card and put it in a cellphone, and dial *111#, can you purchase a bundle like that on the contract sim? we are gonna bump up the cap to 2GB, but i want to know if i can by a bundle on the contract sim if the cap is depleted and not have to pay the R1.20 per MB out of bundle rates:sick:....or should i buy a prepaid card from vodacom and buy a bundle on that?
i also want to know whats the price for a vodacom usb modem, just the modem and a router that will work great together......Thanks for the help!!!!:D

You can add more bundles online from vodacom4me.co.za or even call customer service to add additional ad-hoc bundles.

You best bet currently if you want to get a router is to look at the Huawei B970 which has an integrated 3G device and supports HSUPA. Otherwise there are a number of options from Billion, Draytek and others that you attach a USB 3G modem to.

thanks for the fast reply...I'm still looking for the option on vodacom4me to rechard my account. where can i buy a Huawei B970?

My Account | Services | Modify services | you want mymeg/mygig adhoc (this month only - which is in fact 30 days from day of purchase)

Any Vodashop should be able to supply you with a B970. I think they retail for around R2600. You can however get them for free on a top-up contract last I saw (search this forum there is a B970 thread).
