Vodacom 3G Data

Hi there peoples,

Can someone please clairfy something for me...

I have recently gotten a laptop & 3G contract from vodacom and while the laptop is a stuning machine, I do have an issue with the 3G data...

I get a daily sms from vodacom stating that my account is sitting at R159 which is fine... but this morning i see that i have gone a whopping 7mb over my alloted usage and now it is sitting at R409...

How on earth does vodacom arrive at that figure?
 
It might be auto updates , new pc's have the auto-updates on be default , so it could be due to this.
 
If you are sure you are only 7mb over then it sounds more like the bundle you thought you had has not been activated. Maybe pull an itemised bill on v4me or PM VodacomData your number to check.

I sms'd MM to 31050 and it came back saying I have used 257.51mb and have 0.00mb available on my data bundle...

Because Contract's Data Bundle's aren't updated in Real-Time, you do know that that amount may not be accurate?

When did you send the SMS? Was it this morning?

could it be the next months subscription??????
 
Between whenever this usage was updated and now, i have used an additional 251 mb and that is why the costs are at R409...

Just wish we had access to the same usage data vodacom does, but that would of course be just too efficient...
