Vodacom 3GB for R199 data promotion

Too little too late Vodacom, I am a converted 8ta customer now.
 
"According to the information, the Vodacom promotion will be applicable to both contract and once-off data bundles."

I just tried to buy a 3GB bundle... It still shows @ R499 on *111# as well as on vodacom.co.za

Why can't I add this to my voice contract? What is the difference really between data contract and voice contract with data bundle? It's still the same data flowing over the same network. Why must I pay R149 for 500mb and the next person, also on vodacon can get 2GB for the same price.

It's a promotion because then they don't have to have the prices approved by ICASA before putting them into effect.

They'll just keep extending the promotion.

MyBroadband has received information that Vodacom will run its new 3GB for R199 promotion alongside its current 1GB for R99 and 2GB for R149 contract promotions.

My bad. I read "alongside its current promotions". Those cannot be bolted on. Strange then that the 3 GB can be?

Contract you are bound by a 24 month contract and Vodacom knows they will get the R199.00 per month from you for 24 months. A VAS, the client can remove whenever they whish. Dont buy the 3Gig VAS via *111# if the price shows you R489.00. You will be charged that and Vodacom will hold you to that. If the info in the article is correct then the price should be amended to R199.00 first before you buy.

Is 3Gig available on prepaid for R199

Is 3 Gig night owl included in the contract

Is it possible to upgrade my 2 + 2Gig to the 3 + 3(assumed) even though the 2 + 2 has been freshly renewed?
 
@HideInLight - Your first two questions - no one knows as yet! I think myBB is so snappy with reporting that VC can't update their systems quick enough! hehehehe!

I don't think they will let you upgrade the 3GB promo if you already upgraded or renewed your contract...
