My iPhone 5 was working flawlessly on Vodacom. The I made the fatal mistake of upgrading to iOS6.1, with LTE support for Vodacom.
Now, I get No Service or "Searching for network" all the time - I swear, I can use my phone for 1 hour out of 24 hours. And the only way to restore the network is to switch it off and on again.
Subsequently I have disabled LTE, now the phone seems to "prefer" Edge over 3G, where before I had a 3G switch.
Secondly, I've changed all my APNs back from lte.vodacom.za to "internet".
I've also tried to manually select Vodacom-ZA, instead of automatic network selection, still, after about 20 minutes, "No Service".
I've also gone into the "Reset" section and "Reset Cellular Network" - I thought that was going to solve it, but low and behold, 30 minutes later, no signal again.
The moment I move around or drive somewhere, I'm stranded with no signal. And it's not because of my area, it happened today all the way from Pretoria, Midrand, Sandton CBD, Sandown, Fourways and now in Bryanston.
Any advice?
