Yes.. under payment methods.. For the life of me I cannot remember how I managed to get Vodacom added as a payment method..Where? In Playstore? I do not have that option at all.
You can see all purchases in full detail in your Google Account.Do you have an itemised billing list to see what was purchased and whether it's feasible that the employee was culpable?
I do not have that option there at all. Maybe you have to request if from Vodacom?Yes.. under payment methods.. For the life of me I cannot remember how I managed to get Vodacom added as a payment method..

I do know that I never specifically contacted Vodacom to enable this.. Might be automatically available to add as a payment method for specific contract types..? I am on a top up contract type..I do not have that option there at all. Maybe you have to request if from Vodacom?
I'm on Top Up L contract myself.I do know that I never specifically contacted Vodacom to enable this.. Might be automatically available to add as a payment method for specific contract types..? I am on a top up contract type..
Vodacom's own documentation on this is pretty useless as well, other than indicating that it's an opt-in service and not there by default..I'm on Top Up L contract myself.

If a kid got hold of one of your company cell phones would you not be grateful if you were protected by a limit on purchases. Do you have a limit on your credit card, on ATM withdrawals? According to your logic limits are unnecessary. what if your credit card is stolen and suddenly you are liable for massive charges. His account wasn't "hacked"...we all know that. His kid was given the phone to play with and you got nailed by Ingame Purchases.
Neither.Dual SIM? Or rooted device?
The employee claims his Google account was hacked. I also think that Vodacom should not put me in this position. I have multiple contracts. Anyone of those employees could put me in the same position. I have no control over the phone 100% of the time. Every new contract or addition to a contract has to be in writing on a company letterhead. Everyone has limits on their phones. Out of bundle charges has being opted out of. YET an employee, be he hacked or not, can incur R48000 charges on my account with no oversight or protection from Vodacom. I'm questioning on this forum whether it's legal and what recourse I have. The employee cannot afford to pay it back anyway.
I take responsibility myself and do not leave it to other institutions. If a kid got hold of one of your company cell phones would you not be grateful if you were protected by a limit on purchases. You seem to have missed quite a few posts re. this right above yours...How do you link payments from a Google account, to a sim card (phone number)?
I'm wondering now....how easy is it to add your phone number as payment method in the playstore. Wait, let me test.....hope my wife and kids don't try this ****

It appears to be linked to the SIM card itself. I had previously enabled Telkom Billing in the Playstore just for the hello of it. Last week I replaced my SIM and today I go check I see Telkom Billing is no longer available. Couple presses and I have it back up again. How do you link payments from a Google account, to a sim card (phone number)?

EDIT: Well this is kaak easy. I just opened my "playstore > tap 3 stripes > payment methods > tap Use Telkom Billing" and it was added automatically. No 2fa or confirmation sms, nothing. This is definitely a serious issue.
I figured out why mine does not have the option. How do you link payments from a Google account, to a sim card (phone number)?

My Google Account is set up with my USA postal address...so I can add CC's etc, but my carrier option will obviously no show.
Vodacom. What network are you on? Does all of them support playstore billing? SO far, I only see Telkom and Vodacom people posting, wonder if CellC and MTN can also.
