Called them. And they confirmed my correct number as the alternative number but the driver just refused to call it. Called once on the data card and when it went to voicemail just left...

So after phoning them 4 times and giving them my correct contact number, they insist on phoning the sim card number that is in the package (data sim) they are suppose to deliver.

Been a week now and they simply can not comprehend.

GF had this in the past then after enough time they return it to VC and you have the contract cancelled and cant get it anymore.
But i did get my contract renewed today in about 5 minutes went with the 900GB one for my ipad and all good so far i hope

I got my parcel yesterday.

I loaded some airtime on the data sim and forwarded the calls to my main number.

Even after 4 calls to RAM to update when they delivered they called me on the data sim.

Parcel finally delivered.

Not on an upgrade, that will make no sense. Voda seems to issue you with a new SIM with every upgrade and new one will only be active on a certain date.

I ended up going with the R399 for 900GB deal but the business one was easy just had to submit everything and they gave me a go ahead but i declined due to the other deal coming up and that 900GB deal clearly does not state Router only.

My previous package was 400GB Home also and that worked in my ipad just the SIM only one. If you get the data package and it comes with a router then you forced to only use it in the router or if they disclose it which is the mistake i made when i took out the 1TB one last year for R349 although its my backup if something happens to the fibre now on the failover and it has saved me a few times.


Last one the worst that can happen is you cancel the package within the 14 days if it does not work as expected, although the 900GB one doesnt point towards router only.

So yesterday I spoke to the local branch, they promised a delivery this morning and made sure the driver had the right number. I even asked the bloke to call me to make sure they have the right number. Guess what ? No delivery today, had to call Skynet head office again and they rescheduled it for Monday.

So I called Vodacom now, let's see what they say as they are going to contact SkyNet.

Freaking 5 days waiting for a parcel that is about 10km away from from their depot ???

** update - Skynet sent back the package to Vodacom and upgrade cancelled and I have to now re-apply for the upgrade.
