Yes I saw, hopefully that is the device you get.
I'm also curious if this router will be open to other networks or only locked to Vodacom.
 
Vodacom fibre is actually a joke. Their 5G deals are cheaper and has a higher FUP than their fibre...

Fiber = Reliability/Uptime. Furthermore, the speeds you get will highly fluctuate on Wireless. Every ISP knows that, and therefor its prices are kept higher. Additionally, you are being locked for a shorter period instead of 36 months.
 
EliteMobile just called me to offer me the Vodacom 1TB deal 50mbps with a router for R329 a month over 36 Months.

Im not sure about the 36mths part though

I signed up for the 2TB deal. Router is actually the same model but no HUAWEI branding. Label says ZOWEE TECHNOLOGY.
but the interface is Huawei and router app directs you to Huawei Gallery.

The 36 month sounds scary but it's not really. These deals are usually not beaten unless they are another black friday deal again. The main issue is the Vodacom price increase they do every year so expect the price increase at least 2 times during that time.

Thought they only do that with Western countries' brands.

WTF?! How can that even be legal?

36mths is long enough and I thought that would naturally mean the quoted monthly price OVER the 36mths duration.

Was thinking to get this and and cancel my 50/50 uncapped Fibre line at R789 a month cos i dont think I use 1TB a month

By the way rocketnet and mind the speed offer a 50/25(if upload us not that important )at roughly R580pm(I'm with rocketnet)
 
I ordered the Xbox Series S 512GB + 5G Home Internet 50Mbps bundle for R679pm. Its supposed to be delivered today but no update yet. 5g speeds are apparently faster than our fibre speeds in our area. Currently on MTN 20mbps lte but it never sees above 15mbps and peak times i barely get 8mbps so hopefully Vodacom is better in our area and the FUP is crap, been capped in the past.
