A bunch of apps on my stock Galaxy Nexus can't connect to the Internet over a Vodacom data connection.

These include Plume and Hootsuite (Twitter clients), and Google Music. Google Music can't stream songs I've uploaded when off Wi-Fi.

When I connect to an ADSL-backed Wi-fi network everything works again.

Certain apps work on mobile data, though: Foursquare, the MyBB forum app, Google+.

Anyone else getting the same issue?

Bump!

I guess if no other Android/smartphone users are getting the same issue it's time to contact support. Not looking forward to being on hold.

One last piece of info: I'm on prepaid with a MyMeg 250 standard data bundle.

*Edit: Woo! 100 posts!

I've been having exactly the same problem on my galaxy nexus, blocked ports on so many apps
Running on topup 500 with a mymeg 500 bundle.purchased

Seeing that you running Nexus I gather you on ICS as well?

If yes, have you tried Onavo just out of interest. It creates a proxy service to compress your mobile data. It might be a way to overcome the block?
