Vodacom Blocks Dual Sim Usage

Can any of you recommend any TRUE good dual sim phones on the market currently?
 
What do you mean by TRUE ? According to my definition must have dedicated second sim slot.

So my S7 edge dual sim is NOT TRUE dual sim.

Depends what you want in a phone. Most Chinese phones have 2 sim + 1 sd, but they are also slowly changing to a shared 2nd slot. Then there is the question do you need a sd card? If the phone has 32/64/128Gb memory. If you are going to run the basics like a custom launcher, instant messenger or 2 and not much else then anything with 3/32Gb you don't need an sd card. But if its good quality photos, lots of music and videos, lots of apps that can be moved to the sd card, then you either get a 64/128Gb built in or you need a sd card. A lot also depends on the phone specs itself. The ones with very good cameras will normally have 64/128Gb built in anyway.
 
Thanks for the good advice guys.. By 'true' I meant 2 sim cards and 1 SD however after your explanation and based on my requirements I think a simple Chinese phone to run whatsapp etc will be fine. Any names of phones?
 
I like the Doogee brand (available at Cash Crusaders or import yourself, much cheaper). Xiaomi is very popular (Takealot). For R2K you can get a good phone, for R3K a very good phone, for R4K an excellent phone.
 
My Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 has a true dual-sim setup. From the Note 3 onwards the 2nd SIM and SD card share the slot.
 
Sadly they all going that way. Even the Chinese phones are doing it. But then you can now get 128gb phones so probable not going to need the SD card for now.
