Hi. And it's Colin.
where in my original post did I state "Vodacom deliberately blocking facebook" ?
In the title and again in your post you stated that Vodacom blocked facebook. Your comment that you were forced onto the unrestricted APN to solve the problem indicated that the internet APN was meant to be blocking facebook. Either that or you're one of those people who fix every problem with a hammer, but I decided to give you the benefit of doubt.
Or should I have made the heading "Vodacom unknowingly breaking facebook".
I'd suggest "Problems accessing facebook on Vodacom". It's more accurate and less emotive.
I thought this site is about getting information across and saving people wasting valuable time from trying to
figure out vodacoms F@#k ups.
I agree, which is why I thought I'd give you the information that Vodacom don't block websites.
In this threat you did not once gave a possible solution to this problem.
A little biased don't you think?
I did mention that there were other probems on the network recently, but I didn't offer any possible solution because I don't have the problem, and I don't have a solution, so any solution I suggested would probably have wasted even more of your time.
What I did do was point out that you had made an incorrect assumption, which you chose to ignore and carried on down the wrong path based on the assumption that the blocking was a feature of the Internet APN, instead of trying to find out what really caused it.
A little biased don't you think?
Biased towards whom? Go read some my posts on the subject of Vodacom's service levels and then decide from a position of knowledge, not ignorance.
The only bias I am aware of is my dislike of inaccuracy, and my intolerance of fools. I'll let you decide for yourself which of those prompted me to post in your thread...
