Lets see, dropped calls all over Sandton which is beyond a joke.
Worse than dial up speeds on BIS which after being reported for so long, its just a bloody waste of time.
It is without doubt in my mind that Vodacom are throttling their BIS. MTN is far superior, how come ?
Lovely to be told by someone here of a 2 week turnaround ona problem and then what? 2 years later or a year later, worse now than ever before.

Marine, here's a truly open and honest question for you.

You always complain about Vodacom's service and tell everyone how much better network X or Y is. So a simple question, why do you not just move to one of those networks?

It really pains me to see you so unhappy. Let me know if I can help in any way to port you across.

Eish, this isn't the attitude I would expect from a Vodacom rep. Play the ball, not the man. A consumer is entitled to test a business's performance comparatively.

Not playing the man at all. Marine clearly is not happy with Vodacom, for a very long time, and I'd much rather see him happy even if it means we loose him as a customer.

As you would know we go out of our way to help Vodacom subscribers on this forum. But sometimes we just can't get it right.

Its Jannie, I'm used to it. I give credit where credit is due. Vodacom is a a disgrace. Been with them since the beginning.
I am happy to pay a high price for something as long as it works.
It amazes me how you guys cant or wont fix the issues for whatever reasons. I am not the only one bitching all the time about BIS specifically. You have my number, go and look if I am one of the abusers on the network.
My tablet on the other hand which is with MTN flies like lighting. Oh and thats through Nashua not that it matters.
I would love for Blackberry to come and do tests on your network and see what is really going on.
My bet is we do not get anywhere near 3G speeds, hell I would be happy with real EDGE

Not trying to derail but i have a question for you jannie. What does it take to be a platinum customer with vodacom? I mean I spend between 5-7k a month on a personal capacity( contracts not registered to a business). There arent many perks to being a contract customer. im slowly reducing my usage on vodacom because of this...

You complained about coverage in Sandton and we sent crews in to trail nonstop and fix. The Executive in charge of Sandton personally moved into a house in Sandton for a few months and personally trailed the area every day. The Executive in charge of the network personally trails Sandton at least 4 days a week.

I, myself, moved to Sandton and spends at least 4 days a week there and I trail the busy routes during the busy hours at least twice a day. Every problem spot we pick up get fixed.

Yet you keep on insisting nothing improved.

You complained about BIS being slow and we made substantial changes with massive improvements in performance. This whole forum is abuzz with the improved speeds, to the point that myBB wrote articles about it.

Yet you keep on insisting nothing improved.

Jannie did you bother to look at the speed tests we did on BIS and then on non BIS ?
Did you see the MASSIVE differences?
I tried to reply to you but you do not accept messages.
I will e mail you in the morning but you already have my details from last time no?
Which ever way you want to look at it, the speeds suck on Vodacom BIS and its rather funny that most people here and in the "real" world complain about it.
Go and check the speed tests I did.

Ball in my court? When I asked Jannie what the update was last time I was told 2 weeks, that was months if not more than a year ago.
Do you honestly believe it is just me?
The message was not about sorting out the problem but due to the nature of the forum and the rules we are not allowed to discuss PM's without the senders permission.

Let me get the actual numbers and post it. Think (but don't quote me on it), it's R2500 om the cell number (not account) for Platinum and over R5K for Onyx.
