This amazing R0.028 a minute deal will really make me use my cell phone for more than incoming calls.
Incredible how a technology without billions of kilometers of copper to maintain is more expensive.

Which prepaid package does this relate to? Yebo4less? 4U? Or do all those packages now fall away and this replaces them all?

50c a sms is still criminal seeing as it costs them stuff all per sms.
No, prepaid only (All Day tariff specifically) and not postpaid.

its all good and well, but what about us contract customers we should be paying less than pre paid
I would assume that your contract remains the same, VC has far more prepaid subscribers than contract...its k*k, thats why I didn't renew my contract and went the prepaid route.
Who knows maybe VC will give the contract subscribers something after all...(but I wouldn't count on it)

Its understandable. But If you know MTN good. Like you know the MTN 141 Loyalty program you get free SMS. THIS APPLIES TO CONTRACT TOO.
*141*9# and get it activated. The airtime and data bundle are not so cheap. But SMS is basically free. You will get enough points to buy the sms 200 easy and the 10mb data bundle. I use R100 airtime a month and I'm able to get the sms200 or the 10mb data bundle each month free.
MTN loyalty program beats the sh** out of Talking point. That is why I'm staying with MTN. Ohh and because everyone I call is MTN.
I'm sure Cellc Has the R1.50 tarrif plan still going! Which makes it in fact the cheapest prepaid offering! Let me fin the link.
