Vodacom cuts prepaid data prices

Vodacom is reducing pricing on selected 30-day data bundles by up to 14% as part of its “commitment to reduce the cost to communicate and connect more people to the digital economy”.

The latest price reduction includes a 14% price cut – from R99 to R85 – on the popular 1GB data bundle.

Only took Vodacom 5+ years to reduce its prepaid data tariffs, I wonder why Vodacom bothered, surely it could not have been prepaid data customers spending their money on more competitive networks.

Currently buy 3Gb - but hardly ever use it - used to have a fixed 30Gb monthly allocation across 4 devices which was great - but - when Covid hit - became redundant.
