Vodacom Data SMS's getting irritating, REALLY irritating

Hurray!!!!!!

I have not had an SMS re the expiry and charge notice all day!!!!!
Is it because I topped up my IPhone with 250mb bundle or have Vodacom found and fixed the problem?

Maybe. Even those playing pin the donkey can occasionally score a hit.
:D

Seriously though: does no one else find that astonishingly underhanded and cynical?

Just like Telkom ADSL ? I ordered 4mbps, I get 2mbps (pay for 4mbps). Not only as per test, but officially (max sync speed).

When I read the text it says UP TO !!!!

I had none yesterday, but got some last night and this morning.

I'm getting spammed with them.Very annoying as they seem to send them out anytime they like i.e.1:30am in the morning. AND i'l just recently loaded a data bundle. Had to put phone on silent. Gonna call 111 and just ask them to cancel these msgs.

Has something changed? I seem to have been bugged endlessly with the PPDB on my mobile phone in the last few weeks, much more so than I recall previously.
I think I know what changed (for me, anyway), previously I had bought the 5MB (+25MB free) bundles. My last bundle was the first time I had bought a 20MB bundle.

Are the rules for sending the 4000kb warning messages different for the 5MB bundle? I'm guessing they would be otherwise you'd be warned constantly after your 1st MB is used.

Last night I finished my data bundle, and when I disconnected I got almost 10 messages warning me that I only have 4000kb left and that costs are now being deducted from my account.

Today I am porting to MTN because of this and the fact that Vodacom has dismal coverage in my area in Pretoria, signal constantly drops. And the fact that you cannot report a fault to them since they just don't care about faults on their network

Hi

Send me your number i`ll remove the notification.

Regards
VodacomData

Hahaha

Let's (hopefully) fix it for one person and the rest should just live with it

Only when a few hundred thousand people have complained about millions of useless sms's we send to our customers which congest our already over-congested network will we fix it

hey guyz didnt want to start a new thread but are any of voda prepaid customers having trouble buying MegaBytes the traditional route and the sms my meg route.... hollerback. And on another note why does a company like vodacom still have trouble with their sytems, cmon guyz. And by the way are they honest with their feedback or is they a usual lets protect our image script which customer care/ data support regurgitate every time:eek:

This forum should use less of the HelloPeter style of problem solving whereby only one person's problem is solved and the problem is wished away.

I'm sure this forum was originally intended to serve this purpose
