Vodacom Down?

Hi guys

Is anyone experiencing problems with vodacom?

I can't get ANY service at all i was busy and suddenly nothing...

i did restart my phone and i know there are about 3 towers i connect to around the house so i have checked if its not a specific tower...

I'm in Alberton, Gauteng and Vodacom is being absolute **** today, I've had 6 disconnects in the 45 mins I've been online and during that time I was able to stay connected, it spent about 25 minutes hanging. WTF Vodacom? Work for a change why don't you?

Kloof / Forresthills area of Durban, nothing working..........sorry, thats wrong, a few kb's worth every 10 minutes or so.
 
My problem is that even with a full signal and all diverts cancelled no calls reach my phone.

I played around and finally found that this is only on 3G (UMTS). Everything is fine if my phone is on 2G (GSM). On 3G I can only receive calls while I have an active call. Else it just goes to voice mail or in case of all diverts cancelled "The subscriber you have dialed is unavailable, please try again after migration from Vodacom".

This is in Stellenbosch only, I use the gholf course tower.

Today it seems that SMS won't go through but voice calls do. Sometimes it is just fine also, so this is an intermittent thing.
 
UPDATE : Problem is back again, no voice calls come through when I am on 3G.

I tried already with 2 sims now.

I tried two different phones also.

My co-workers also have this problem when their phones are on UMTS.

Those damn unreliable Nokia's again. I've got no problem on my 3G iPhone. :D

Will report it, thanks. Around when did this start.

It started on Monday and I have seen the same thing on a Sony Ericsson type phone that is also in my office. I work mainly with professionals so no one here has a Motorola or iPhone.

You're right, not really seen a *professional* with an iPhone. The pimps apparently don't approve. ;)

Must be a local 3G problem. I'll let the radio guys know.
