Thats all dandy, but when using a land line one can use local bandwidth cheaper where one benefits on speed and price.

When is vodacom going to give us local benefits?

The servers are still in trail, but I'll check to make sure we open them up to DSL users as well.

There are lots more games coming, but why don't you guys put up a poll with the popular games and you can vote what should come first?

With no mention of how bandwidth will be used and billed on this server we can expect some serious $ per minute of gaming.... rather spend a flight ticket to iraq and get some in the flesh action. Might cost you less per minute of fun vs Gaming over 3G. Sans latency issues .

Do you have to pay for this if you are using a Voda 3G/HSDPA/Whateva connection?

Because, BF2 @ 19c a MB ... that's about 50MB per hour ... that's R9,50 for an hour of gameplay.
Hardly an incentive to play at this point, and an empty server gathers no more players.

I'm also on VC HSPA ATM and can see the site, but looks like Vodacom will also have to open up the site to MTN employees that also want to play with it .

So the website/servers is only available from a Vodacom sim ?

If they provided free connection to the gaming servers, THAT WOULD MAKE THIS A NEWS TOPIC TO BE PROUD OF ! But I highly doubt they will ever do that The idea is good, hope they follow it through with a "free connection via Vodacom sims."

That should make those servers explode with gamers. And at least all wireless players can then play on the same servers All with 100 odd pings. No more 8 - 10 ms pings from the cable guys
