Vodacom goes gaming

Pitbull - I'm merely pointing out that (just like IS Gaming did during the first 6 month of its "launch") they have clearly gone to no effort to come up with those rules seeing as (particularly the FAQ) are practically copied word for word :p

4. Applications

The following types of applications have been proven to give players an advantage. Players found using such applications to aid fellow gamers will be banned for cheating.
4.1 hlirc
4.2 Roger Wilco
4.3 Teamspeak
4.4 Teamsound
4.5 Ventrilo
4.6 Skype
4.7 Any other voice over IP application

It's actually a good thing that most of the ROE are the same. That means there is some kind of "standard". Most of those rules have been gathered over the years from feedback from players, game forums etc.
 
Are those not the games that you will be hosting? I am confused.. Is that just a list for people to vote from?

if you want to start dota/war3 you should speak to twilight. they are the biggest. i think ISgaming has got them already though

Just logged on to the BF2 server :) Looks good, too bad I'm on there alone :( Will check in again later. /Off to go play a full server for now :)

Yes, the list is so I can take your views back to the admins, basically to say you guys would like to see specific games first.

It's not to say the list is the final one, rather I'm just trying to make sure the gaming community have some say in where the site is going.
 
well... the war3 community is one of the biggest, if not the biggest server in the community. most players from all games play on that server when they tired of the norm.

i am not sure who ryan is.. but i am just addicted to dota.. like many other players.. level 36 account.. for the win :D?

do you play V3G?

Well, yes and no. In essence, the idea is great...standard rules. But (as hundreds would agree), SGS's aren't necessarily ideal and the GSP should at least sit down and decide exactly what they want to offer their community. If you look at IS's revised rules, they know exactly what they want, without having a hugely different policy to SGS. Any new entrants should do the same.

In the real world, we all copy each other's legal documents and jargon, but seriously...copying the FAQ is just slack.
 
Now if only Vodacom could convince Blizzard to let them host a World Of Warcraft Server for us plebs. :)

The forums seem down for me, but is the crysis wars on patch 1.4? Cause I am and can't find server anywhere, even when I try connect to IP
