Whole Vodacom network now 4G ready

Every Vodacom site across South Africa has been upgraded to support LTE Advanced – also known as 4G

I'm ready for 666G, but it doesn't mean I'm going to get it where I need to use it.

You're assuming that all towers have fibre close by, by some fibre supplier. Many do, many more don't. Unfortunately.

I am not making the assumption at all - I am remarking on the fact that Telkom infrastructure remains so vital to the network ecosystem and that historically this dependence has created a perverse set of incentives on call terminations to the expense of the DSL industry. I am also commenting of the fact that unlike the other BAUT Vodacom is acquiring a fibre network with Neotel - but will still not be able to connect to all of its sites without using Telkom fibre and in some instances copper.

That's true. My point was that we needs lots more fibre in the ground.
