I received some feedback from CL-Jeremy over at smallnetbuilder forum. Seems he works for Asus and has direct contact with the devs at Asus. I asked for a method do sniff the modems like we did for the MR3420 when we got stuck with a modem that didn't work. I also said that it would enable Asus to grow their USB modem database when consumers give the devs feedback. He reckoned it is a good idea and will communicate same to the devs. Lets hope something will happen soon!
That Dovado Tiny sure looks like a lot of punch for its size. I'm sure that will solve your issue Jola. Looking forward to your feedback. I will not invest in it yet since I seldom operate in a LTE area. But believe you me, that I will consider it when my area gets LTE provided that there is no alternative solution for the USB modem / router compatibility
