We have tried various numbers (contract) on the Vodacom network and it seems like many VC subscribers cant receive calls. Anyone else experiencing this problem? If so, which region?

Yip tried to phone a few people.....

One was in Centurion and the other in Bryanston. Couldnt get through to both of them, but then I tried another number which is in the Freestate and it worked.....

Don't know - my phone's battery died 30 minutes into a 4 hour longer ****ty Power load shedding incident that ended just a few minutes ago .

Just had a call drop out three times and the blackberry service is down all over PE. :(

Well, on the plus side, I can expect a credit from VC for the time they were offline.

Still trying to get the whole story but loadshedding caused some equipment problems in Pta, that would have affected some numbers around the country.

Busy normalising at the moment. Always a good idea to re-boot your phone after such an incident.

Ah, maybe loadshedding was the reason that Pick'n'Pay's airtime system was offline today when I tried to buy more airtime. Pity, because I'm down to 95c :(

Also had some problems here this afternoon but fine at the moment. Couldn't get hold of people with VC numbers but was fine with all other networks.

Cant I trust VodaCom?

Can i trust VodaCom? I had so many problems from no data on only one number now this network down problem puts the cherry on the top! I had to get another Simcard yet even that number seems to be going down with the rest. Well that number was a 072 and now i got a 076 did a sim swap on both to 64k...maybe its that

:(:confused:so wats with this network down all the time?

i mean can we trust that this "network down" wudnt happen again?
What if there is an important call? or email ..get the idea?

In that case I guess you can't. I don't know of any fail-safe technology in this (or any) world.

However, if you're willing to use a network that 99.9% available, then the Vodacom network easily beats that number.
