This does not excuse the fact that you are paying for service when there is none or hardly any currently. We have to remember that Vodacom is the pioneer when it comes to 3G in South Africa and I am sure it is a learning experience not only for Vodacom but for us forumites as well. We should start working together to make sure that all problems are resolved efficiently, the root of the problem fixed not just the symptoms. I do believe that all forumites contribute in a great way to ensure that this happens. V3G has been a great help to many with regards to their other problems in previous posts and I am sure... no I know that he is doing everything he possibly can to sort this one out. All I can say is great service from V3G. So thats my 2c cents worth.. wait 2c not in production so thats my 5c worth....

TigerTael said:This is very true. I feel that we have been heard and they are working on the problem. My only hope is that they can fix the problem, and the problem isn't something like saturation.
LandyMan said:Well, after reading all of these problems, I dialled up with my 6680, via 3G, and got decent 250kb/s + speeds ... oh, I am in the Boksburg area
Newb-lite said:im confused where do you see the 250 kb/s? is it on the little download screen eg: 12.3 meg of 250 meg at 250 kb/s?
cause if it is ... im getting butt raped ... my fastest ive ever seen was at 50 kb/s
TigerTael said:They're talking in Kilobits, not kilobytes. So 250kilobits/sec basically equates to 31.25Kilobytes/sec. At least, they had better be talking in kilobits, otherwise all their credibility just went out the window
You can measure the speed in various ways really, PC, Phone, etc etc.
Yeah, I thought you were. Just had to put my little disclaimer in tharLandyMan said:Erm, kb/s = kilobits/s, so my credibility should hopefully be just inside the window still![]()
