I have several Vodacom numbers. Contract and pre-paid.

Used to be I could just log-in with number and password onto Vodacom website.

Recently had to add id number and whatnot to register new pre-paids.

Kept on going about links and profiles and stuff, but the links were never available on the website.

Today I want to log-in, as usual for my primary, contract sim.

Now after log-in, it asks for my Id and ****.
Then it compains my id is linked to another profile. That would be the last pre-paids I registered.

Jawelloknofine, I log-in with the pre-paid number profile thingy.

Great.
Now, it seems this will become my primary profile log-in number thing whatever, so I need to add/link my other numbers to this one.

Fine. Try to link number.
Sorry, that number is linked to another profile. Have to delete that profile.
??

Ok. So log back into primary contract thingy, to delete profile.

Asks for id. Put in ID.

Sorry, that ID is linked to another profile.

Cannot continue.

I cannot delete the other profile, because I am stuck on the Enter ID screen.
I cannot add it to another profile, because the ID is linked to this profile.

Around and around I go. 30 minutes now.

KHHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaann!

KHHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaann!

Been having this issue since Thursday last week, have sent Vodacom an email on Friday last week. Heard nothing, %$#@^& irritating

I had exactly the same problem as all of you, precisely the same, also got stuck on that screen, multiple phone calls and nothing got done about it. I eventually ended up deleting the profiles that I had access to, and I called in and asked them to delete everything on their side that I could not, it took 48 hours for everything to be erased. When all was done, and everything erased, I restarted from scratch and re-registered my primary number, and then proceeded to link the other numbers to it.

This whole process that they have has some serious issues, especially when they keep you stuck on that primary number screen. What made my experience worse was the fact that one of my Vodacom numbers was via Nashua SP (I won't make that mistake again), so the whole process got really screwed up. I can only suggest deleting everything and asking them to assist you, and then to re-start from scratch, this worked for me.

Ok posted a post on Facebook (as emailing got no response) got a response asking me to mail them ( a different email address), which I have done and I linked to this thread.

Lets see.

Thanx Brakanjan.

I cannot just delete everything, since some of these pre-paids are stuck in (difficult to access) gsm alarm systems, and cannot display the OTP they send you to prove ownership.

Eish.

The portal guys switched to a new SSO authentication system that allows you to link any number of accounts (prepaid, contract, topup, etc.) to one single login and this requires some of us who originally registered a long time ago (like myself) to reregister on the new system.

A lot of you asked for this ability to manage all your SIMs under one login, so this is it.

I've asked them to give me a short writeup which I'll post as soon as I get it.

Avoid using their login options. I registered a new data sim for my tablet, accessed the vodacom site to view data bundle & ever since then i've been receiving marketing sms everyday.

I'll just throw the sim away once the data bundle is done & avoid the site.

But you can't register you get stuck in an endless loop with the system been trying since Thursday last week.
I had a Vodacom online account, 1 log-in for all three numbers all under one account, I could see everything, since last week I can not log in.
It tells me I need to register, I go through the process of registering come to the little pop up where it asks if I want to link all of them to my ID number say yes, takes me back to the log in page, try log in with the new details I have just registered with, says I need to still register?

Hi

To the guys having problems please send me your contact numbers.

Regards
VodacomData

Tried to register using my vodamail address and password. Was told to follow the link emailed to me. Still waiting for the email.

Ok after a phone call from a nice lady, mine is sorted. Although I have always used my cell phone number to log-in to my Vodacom account, it seems my primary number linked to my ID number changed to the last sim card number I purchased and Rica'ed. So it kept on picking up this number against my ID number, she changed my primary number back to the one I have always used and now all sorted.

thanks VodacomData for the help.

All my SIMs are already linked to my main cellphone number, why can't this information be migrated to whatever new system?

This is one of the worst rollouts of a so-called new functionality that I have ever seen. Vodacom is now trying to spin that it is a functionality that they are implementing because users were asking for it. In reality they somehow forgot that thousands of users have multiple SIMs and would need single sign-on access when the mobile app was rolled out. I deleted the app months ago because I could not access my other accounts.

I had single sign-on functionality before on the web portal, now I have no access - great!

I cannot register for single sign-on because my e-mail address is already on the Vodacom system - duh! Has been for years!

Sent complaint to customer care - several e-mails later - let's hope they can sort it out. My condololences to all the thousands of users out there who still have to discover what they are in for.

We understand this, we are not stupid. You are not listening, the new functionality is broken, it gets stuck in an endless loop, that is what everybody is experiencing, this is happening to everyone. The page is broken, it took many days for my problem to get sorted and I eventually had to sort it myself by deleting everything, and this left a bad impression, I was a new client and then this happened. As ttygt said, it is not always possible to redo everything if the sim cards are not with you. This broken cycle is really a problem.

Seems to work fine for me. I linked my iPad number to my contract profile and now only need login using my contract creds and get balances for my prepaid iPad number as well as the contract info.

this is so frustrating, after trying to login, my online profile seems to have been blocked, Customer care isn't helpful at all.

Same boat. And I received an SMS from Voda asking me to 'rate the service', an hour after being told to go try and log in again - and also getting my online profile blocked while trying to link numbers.
